@@adriansong1872 actually… after more research and thought, turns out youre right here. There is no name for what I thought was snap oversteer, so some are calling it snap rebound. After doing some looking you’re exactly correct on yours, snap oversteer is sudden oversteer. I was calling the rebound at the end of a semi controlled slide snap oversteer and I was wrong.

It’s called over-correcting. It happens because the driver countersteers into the slide just a little more than is needed, causing the car to pitch back into a slide in the other direction. The idea of snap oversteer is a joke.

@@adriansong1872 snap oversteer usually happens once you regain grip after straightening the car out and it comes looose again. The weight transfer making it more snappy.

@@adriansong1872 I think nobody really has a clue what they mean when they say "snap oversteer". If you listen to most people talk about it then it's literally just lift-off oversteer which every car has (especially badly on FWD cars). On the other hand you've got people that say snap oversteer is when the car aggressively picks up rotation into the direction of counter-steer. That's again a slight issue with rear weight bias cars but primarily a problem with short wheelbase cars. My personal conspiracy theory is that the SW20 never suffered due to "snap oversteer", but toyota made a terrible garbage setup for it and most monkey brained teenagers with a driver's license couldn't handle it. The ZZW30 doesn''t suffer from snap oversteer, it just suffers from normal downsides of a short wheelbase, rear weight bias, rear wheel drive car and the setup that comes with it or is modified onto it.

MR2 Spyder really isn't as bad as people make it out to be in terms of snap oversteer if you can even call it that. You need to really REALLY push the car to even feel the limits. In the US this was a car known to be driven by just every day people, not performance enthusiasts or even weekend racers. And there was not a reputation for accidents or crashes with this car. The issues you are seeing in this video are mainly attributed to weather and being on a race track. Look at his video info, semi-slicks in the rain. He's doing it on purpose because he can. Regular folks wouldn't push the car as hard in these conditions or take these types of turns on a real street.
