It’s my favorite part of my week as well ❤ are you more into specialty coffee shops or traditional ones? If you haven’t had the chance to yet I’d suggest checking out the tourism section in the Buenos Aires website, there’s a list of “bares notables” like Tortoni o La Giralda worth checking out if you want the full porteño experience 😊

Si es el tren Mitre, había estaciones que estaban en remodelación. Lo hicieron el fin de semana para no molestar a la gente los días laborales.
@marceladagostino1694Күн бұрын

Crossing streets in La Plata os a whole adventure in and of itself. Same thing with navigating through the city with all the diagonals. The problem of building a planned city just before cars were invented lol

The first time I experienced Christmas as an expat in Europe was quite depressing too at first, I totally understand what you're going through. But next time I think will just return home for the holidays.

One of the interesting aspects of the architecture is that frequently, only the front of a building is beautiful, not the sides or back, even for building on a corner. While this is not universally true (see the water building), it seems to apply not often than not. If you have a window looking at the back of a building, it is rarely pretty. While I understand a zero lot longer won't make the sides pretty, the back seems important too.

Regarding the eggs and milk. In the US eggs are washed with water, that removes their external natural protection hence you need to keep them refrigerated afterwards. Here egg shells are not as clean, but you dont need to refrigerate them. Word of advice, once refrigerated, all eggs need to be kept refrigerated. As for milk ... some needs to be refrigerated, some doesn't. Sachet (the milk bags) needs to be refrigerated. The tetra brick cartons, those are good without refrigeration until opened. Regarding dogs ... it is friendly, but dog owners cant impose their choices on others. That's why the city has many places for dog owners, but kept away from people who dont like dogs. In the subway or bus, there is not much space so your dog may be causing an issue for someone else. You can always get an Uber or Cabify to move around the city with your dog. PS: when you finish eating at a restaurant, we have a whole sign language. you get the attention of the person serving your table 👋, then you can ask for an espresso and the check by doing 🤏 then holding an imaginary pen✍.
