EDIT: apparently Mistletein sucks and there was clarified rulings on it by all the judges. Brb Pulling My Steering Wheel you're the only judge we've spoken to that says the tokens need to have maintenance cores before ramping onto them. Unless it's changed recently, the concensus has been that since they are being generated and ramped onto by Mistleteins effect, they do not need maintenance cores when created. And as for the token creation, Dave was shortcutting the Ascension with the new creation. As for the rest, eh it's all in fun anyway.

Welcome! I would say figure out your preferred style of play and buy the cards for a deck that plays that way. There are a lot of different options for play styles in this game so you're bound to find the deck that suits you

Hey, yeah an early hydra with some backup spirits would absolutely be a pain. Probably the worse matchup, I just hoped to dodge it (or that they didn't see it soon enough ahah). It worked for the last online tournament so why not try again? 😂. Jokes apart, I was expecting a lot of aggressive decks so I dropped bombs and/or avalanche to be more consistent against swarm, but the deck can surely be tuned more towards big threats. I think bo1 format fits the deck though tbh. Surprise factor is a thing, those 2-3 initial turns where the opponent won't swing trying to understand what you are playing are crucial. Against a good player winning game 2-3 with such a deck and gameplan ( I never swing unless I have confront to not give em cores) is really really difficult. I would have to work on a sidedeck that tries to switch gameplan a bit in game 2, maybe Kakkara or some other crush stuff and be more aggressive.

Oh and I have a twitch channel but stream in italian. There a vod where I comment the games, I'll see if I can do a live commentary in english and spread it a bit since I saw some interest.

​@@CasualBurger-q7ras explained in the video the idea is to isolate an important spirit with other removals (combination of flood and spout or shark) and play it on the last spirit. There were two copies of it, then after some testing I switched one to deadly balance to play around armor (mainly for big tiger).

It was an honor, also because I don't really like pure aggro and this list gave me the opportunity to play something equally effective but with the possibility of putting more threatening (and cooler) cards with Antshadow and Kingtaurus.

It's literally stated on the cards that turn Nexus into Golem spirits. The text says "in addition to its other types." So Lilith becomes both a Spirit and a Nexus with the family type of both Angel and Golem

The reason for the dual color and smagg is that in the rules it talks about multi colored symbols, and they can only fulfill a single reduction, but are still all colors listed at all times. That doesn’t pertain to this as the effect treats it as also a golem spirit as in addition to not just a golem spirit. If it used the term instead it is a golem spirit then yes but it does not.

Im almost positive that you will need to actually have the physical cores (especially at a major even). For example, if you did not bring enough cores, and you were to gain one, you can't.

You can use anything to symbolize cores. Besides, once you have like 100 cores you really don't need any more in any game state. Marshal has at least 100 in that container.

i dont remember any specific rulings saying this cant be done more than likely the rule was how it was in other games is you declare how many time you are performing the loop if your opponent cant do anything about it because it saves time

It's in 12-1 of the CR. You declare how many times you are performing the loop and must end it if it is able to be ended by a player. You then cannot re enter the infinite loop that turn. EDIT: an infinite loop can only be performed once per GAME.

I don't know this game but it screams bad game design to me. If you have to put in some work and get lucky to get this to happen I would be okay with it though. But if if it's inevitable. No. Please educate me.

This infinite requires your opponent to have zero cards to interact with any of the pieces required to make the loop happen, which is incredibly unlikely to happen. There are a LOT of removal options in the game, and you'd either have to get lucky that the opponent doesn't have one of many removals, or you'd have to exhaust their options before even attempting to do it. -Jacob

Overall it is not really consistent, the Nexus core of this loop does absolutely not work with the rest of the deck it is put in and the card giving you cores is a 10 cost card. On top of that, there are a lot of magic cards in the game that can remove that same Nexus that makes the loop even before the loop starts and you can use those magic cards at any time between each loop attempt, i will explain: In the game there is an Attack Step, where cards can attack, one at the time. The player attacked can use a "flash" effect, those can be written on Spirits (monsters), Nexuses or Magic cards, those last ones are in the hand. This loops works using a flash effect of a Nexus which lets it refresh and exhaust itself because, thanks to another nexus effect, it is treated both as a Spirit and a Nexus. The card givin cores is a Spirit that costs quite a lot (10). So, the first flash effect can be used by the attacked, in this case the owner of the loop, and will gain a core, then is the attacking player that gets to use a flash effect, and so on until both players declare that they do not have flash one after the other. So you can stop it fairly easily Even if you cant for some reason stop it and the opponent managed to create the loop, it can end pretty fast and it gives the player "infinite" "mana(cores)" BUT, on top of that, the deck color used for all those cards is not a color with many draw effects, thus those cores may be many, but if you do not have many cards they can end up being useless and having this many cores at an advanced point of the game is not really too much of an advantage tbh
