At 17:55 I am unable to trim surface. It says the trim tool and target doesn't intersect eventhough I followed the same steps as you . Any solution to this?

Really excellent showing of how to create an "impression" for the label. My only feedback: how are you selecting the interior surface for the trim (minute 18:15 and on)? I cannot see any selection manager in your video, and without hiding the "top level" surface it is difficult to follow. Got this one bookmarked, though, as I am using it for some unique impression on a product enclosure plastic housing.

Nevermind, I figured it out: it was just extremely difficult to see the top surface was removed as there was no distinguishment between the sub-offset surface. This is truly amazing that a sketch itself can be used to trim a surface like this and create impressions. I have not seen it done until now and am puzzled how! Thank you so much for this great tutorial! The bottom right showing the goal feature / setup is a step way above other content creators.

Sorry, may i know how did you made surface-fill4 at the minute 8:59 ?
@kevinland53411 ай бұрын
He basically did another sketch and drew a straight line on connecting the two bottom points. Then he used Fill Surface tool like he did the top curve.

If this is being shared on youtube for teaching purposes, why are you going so fast? No need for showboating in an educational video.

How to make the project curve ?
@kevinland53411 ай бұрын
@@muzirahmurad1131 I know this was 2 years ago but what he did to create that projected curve was to create an offset plane at the inner loop height of 11mm and then projected that inner curve into a sketch on that new projected plane. Then he created another offset plane at the height of the outer distance curve of 10.2mm and then projected that outer curve into a sketch. This is why he has 4 sketches now.
