I ride vintage trials on the East coast on a variety of British bikes that I build.Your sections are nice and long and go somewhere. Here they are short, tight, twiddly and consequently often boring. Alright if you ride a TY or SWM or similar. I am 73 and am looking forward to riding for several more years yet.

Great to hear! We have many septuagenarians still competing in our group. Its wonderful to see you can do this sport well into your 70's and even 80's!

Thank you for sharing. 37.5 Jets R Us. Worked like a charm. You saved me a bunch of money$. The guy wonted $600.00 or more and I had to ship the bike to him & back to me. To the tune of $700.00 shipping. Hade no problems forking over $54.00 for four tiny little jets and that included $9.98 shipping to. I feel I should give you some money for your video. FYI my bike [1984 GPz 550 ZX550A1]. Thank you VERY much Bro!🏍🏍🏍😁

Hi, I am Matt from West Yorkshire, England. I am 58 years young lol and when I was 15 back in 1981 I owned a 1979 MONTESA COTA 247. Now West Yorkshire is well known for breeding famous Trials riders and the LAMPKIN family from SILSDEN West Yorkshire are probably the most famous of them all The Lampkin Brothers started riding Trials back in the late 1950s on BSA's and a few other British brands but when the third brother MARTIN LAMPKIN farther of Doughie and Robert Got a factory ride for Bultaco in the early 1970s riding the famous Bultaco 325 Sherpa there was no stopping him winning many famous trophies and championships at home and abroad. Two years ago I bought a 1979 Montesa Cota 247 in a bad state of condition and three weeks ago I finished restoring it with a couple of sensible mods like an electronic ignition etc. Seeing your vlog I had to mention that I had one. I have owned a lot of motorcycles over the years both road and off-road and the Montesa always brought back fond memories so that is the reason I got another one. Anyway, thank you for the vlog I hope that there is a few more where this one came from. I also owned a YAMAHA TY 175 and 250 and I am looking out for both bikes to restore. Cheers Matt from BRADFORD WEST YORKSHIRE ENGLAND.

Thanks for the comment Matt! Yes, there will be more trials content coming in the future. I am also looking to add another bike to the mix. In order to compete in a different class I am looking for a BSA C-15. Did you ever own one of those?

I really like doing such DIY stuff on my bikes. But due to restrictions of staying in an apartment and not having a private covered garage where I can set these things up, I often dispose the ideas of working on something similar. Looking at your video I feel like moving into a house next to your and work with you 😄😄😄 Great video and lovely explanation. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Nice video - one of my favorite trials, bummed I missed it this year. FYI, the OKO carburetor is not legal in AHRMA - there is a specific rule banning flat slide carbs (seems random to most of us but there it is....)

The 125 could work if you are going to race MX. The powererband is way too narrow for trail riding.

Everybody seems to think that engineers are stupid, putting airboxes on carburetors, instead of cute lil K&N's. If you knew how much thinking there is in an airbox design, you would leave it alone for sure.

Had loads of bikes over the years, but so far the TTR is my favorite! Maybe I'm just old now, but there's just something to appreciate about a bike that demands so little and gives so much. Fire up and ride all day no frills, bs or radiators to bust open if you lay it down on the rocks or sticks. Nothing simpler than an air cooled four stroke. It's an absolute beast on technical single track trails.

*Correction. Sport mode is full power and traction control mode 1. A lot of people keep saying it’s everything off like you just did, but if you check the owners manual there’s a table showing the flow chart of the settings. The only way to get traction control all the way off is through the Rider settings. Great video btw! 💪

I installed lowering links on my DR-Z 400 and it made a world of difference! At 5 foot 7 I can touch the ground with both feet and have the confidence to do anything I want. I wasn't sure how to set the sag with links but it's basically the same. Thank you for the video!

Hello! I'm looking to do the identical on my 2017 version. Do you think the cable lengths will be the same on the older model? EDIT: Turns out they are, you have a lot of room if you take the fairing off and find the black clip near the front of the bike. No problem with these 2" risers.

I keep coming back to this video - it's the best one on risers for the 2020 Z900. If one were to not need the ability to swing back towards the rider, just up, then would it make sense that the OEM top mount work? You would just need to fabricate a flat bracket to connect the OEM mount in its new position, so it aligns and clams to the other bracket (for teh turn signals. right?
@osggarage5575 Жыл бұрын
interesting.concept. The mounting for the TFT display is based off of the top clamp. So if you preserve that it could work.
