Hardly a one man show. He provided ASSISTS. If his teammates failed to score Messi’s passes are meaningless. He passed to Gressell who failed to score. Case in point. I’m a Messi fan but can we please acknowledge the efforts of the team. Rojas and Suarez were key to Miami’s success as well.

Yes, but you need a player like Messi who puts the ball in the right place, at the right time, at the right speed, so you can have the chance to score the goal in the first place. Take Messi out of the equation and that game was a win for New York, as it was in March when Messi didn't play in Inter's visit to New York. It's a team's game, yes, but if your players can't fabricate their own chances of goal, or run half the field leaving rivals in their wake to later score a goal, you need someone who can do at least one of those things. Messi does both and more! Do you think Suárez, as good as he is, could've scored THREE GOALS by himself without Messi making his job so easy? Or the new guy Rojas scoring two in less than 20 minutes?

@@Lucas_Tulic oh I agree 💯 Messi’s vision and passing ability (placement, speed) are out of this world. My fave quote from last game is by Rojas. Second goal, he said he lost sight of Messi, didn’t see the pass until ball was at his feet. That’s what Messi does. Passes the ball exactly where it needs to be. So many examples from this season alone.
