That's a good idea for this card, but the set was definitely for the Naismith Hall of Fame. The 25th Anniversary mentioned on the front was from when it opened its doors in 1968. And Action Packed had a close relationship with the Naismith Hall of Fame. When they went out of business, they gave a lot of basketball inventory to the Naismith Hall of Fame to distribute. There's an episode of pawn stars where the seller found a lot of these unreleased cards....but with Bird not being there at the time, maybe Action Packed could've pointed out an alternate HOF like you mentioned! So hard to say with how grading is nowadays. All depends on condition and that grade. But this is one of my more valuable ones. My personal card, not graded, I wouldn't let it go for less than $40. But slabbed cards, I'd try to hold out for $80-$100 even for a PSA 8. For a PSA 9, maybe more like $160-$200. All just my opinion. eBay has an advanced search where you can find prices cards actually sold for. I usually check there. This is one of my favorite cards, but the problem is, Fleer printed too many of them. The value didn't hold up. Looks like they sell from $1-$3. All depends on condition of course. Mine has white corners, so it's not valuable. @catalogedclutter70462 ай бұрын
I really hope not! Like this card so much. Part of me thinks it might. Not sure if you saw my bad greening videos... There's a 94-95 Chris Mullin Finest that entirely light green. And most of the Kobe rookies for sale are holding up great! I've seen green ones, but really hoping these 96-97 rookies age well. Maybe the greening stops after a certain time? I've been watching, and my cards don't seem to be getting worse. Sorry, long answer... I guess in my opinion these Kobe rookies seem to be doing better than many other chromium cards. Uhmmm, they are projected averages because there is no other way to tell you per 48 min averages other than to "project" them. Nobody plays 48 mins per game. Odd critique. And I like that they made the stat the same thing on every player's card...so you can compare players to each other based on the exact same metric. What would you have preferred, only put rebounding stats for rebounding types and only shooting stats for shooting types or something like that? One standardized metric applied to all is an easy way for the average fan to make comparisons and get a feel for what players contribute the most. And if you decide to use per 48 min averages the only way to come up with those numbers is to project them. Just pointing out a few problems with your few problems video.
@catalogedclutter70463 ай бұрын
There are 0 Google results for "projected per 48 min" and endless results for "per 48 min". I've never seen "projected" on another card with 48-min averages. I understand your point, but my point is that I believe Hoops was trying to brand a stat (the Hoopstat logo) by referring to a common statistic in an uncommon way. Maybe you have another card that uses the word "projected"? But your last sentence calls for a like on this comment! Thanks for the clarification on projected statistics.
@theconscientiousperfecter3 ай бұрын
@@catalogedclutter7046 How do you think they come up with per 48 min averages for players who do not average 48 minutes. (which is all of them by the way). Well ill clue you in. They PROJECT the per 48 min average. There is literally no other method to come up with those averages. And that is the literal term for the process. The most likely reason that word is not on every card...it's obvious they are projected numbers to determine the per 48 min. "Per 48 min" is the abbreviated and also obvious thing to put. They most likely did not realize they would have to explain to someone that since not one single player actually plays 48 mins they take the minutes they do play and then PROJECT what that would be if they played 48 mins. Good lord. Google says...LOL.
