I was there for the first time just after Thanksgiving, colours were peaking, it was unbelievably warm, and I was grossly over packed with 3 bags and 2 dogs. We got as far as the west end of artist lake before I came to my senses and turned around. I can't wait to go back again and bring my parents along since they've never seen it!

Backing packing alone can be one of the most humbling and exhilarating experiences. A true testament to ones abilities physically and mentally. I've been backpacking alone for sometime now. Dude, if you going to take someone with you, it is your responsibility to take care of her and watch for her safety, I am sure you learned your lesson but first of all, why not wear the safety vest? Why not do research before you go into the water? etc... we all make mistakes but I could see what was coming shortly and sure enough, you guys fell. Could you imagine if the water was deeper? stay safe!

I bring bacon and eggs ~ keeping those carbs consumption low..! I bought six plastic double egg camping containers.. I pack them into a wine cooler bag attached to the outside of my rucksack. Or use small nalgene bottles and pre break them for overnight camps.. The tree definitely does look like a monkey..! I love your calm quality and beautiful fiming.

Awesome video Ben! Solo camping for me is an odd mixture of awesomeness and fear. Not sure if I don't enjoy the feeling being left alone with my thoughts or what hahaha.
