I bought my BDL .270 practically brand new from a neighbor for $200. I later saw the exact same model and caliber in a store for $777.

I have one of these in 22-250 with a 4x12 Bushnell scope,,The only thing I don't like is that button for removing the bolt,,otherwise very happy with it 😀

I Bought 1 last week and mine hase dubble stack mags. als the 10 round mag. I also have the 30round mags. proberly because I am from Europe.

Well now, that is an impressive piece of machinery; not often that I get to see something as novel. I'm surprised by the price also. I thought it would be much higher.

Good information and entertaining, the problem are not all Golt cup 1911 have acceptable levels of quality control, many people have expected superb quality from Colt only to discover later poor-quality control, when the work on Colt's so badly fitted and finished, then their reputation dwindles into the pages of history, Colt is doing itself no favors, with such poor-quality control sadly, more and more people are shown their grievances and gripes on KZbin, images don't tell lies.

The 22 is an excellent self defense weapon when you look at actual statistics. And your goal as a civilian in an attack is to stop the attack. Not kill the perp. But 30% of the people hit with a 22 DIE. That climbs to a whopping 33% with 9 mm. The key is hitting your target. What good is a 357 revolver if you can't hit anything with it? With the inexpensive ammo you can train enough with a 22 to get seriously good. In 99% of situations you are likely to face hit your attacker ONCE with a 22...mission accomplished. If they remain mobile they will run away. NO one will hang around to be shot twice.

A straight pull bolt rifle. Looks well designed being bolt hand reversible. And at just over seven pounds a nice weight.

Barrel should be parallel to chambered to avoid recoil......

Just picked mine up yesterday. I really like it so far. Feels great in the hand and it's very easy to conceal. Haven't fired it yet but I am really looking forward to getting acquainted with it.

I heard a S&W rep at the SHOT show call the 1854 44 mag a “throw back to our heritage”. I’m a 10mm guy since about 1990. Super excited with the S&W M&P 10… bought two. Both jammed regularly, (failure to feed), The magazine fell out the bottom while shooting in both, and on one the supplied plastic optics plate cracked, the screws sheered, and my RMR flew backwards over my head. I sent them back to S&W twice. Failure to feeds continued after receiving them back each time. Called a third time and was transferred to a girl who sounded quite young. She interrupted me, talked over me, and told me that my request that S&W exchange my pistols wasn’t going to happen since the issues were fixable. And she said that I “should shoot better quality ammo”. I guess higher quality than the Federal, Fiocci, Mag Tech, Sig, and Hornady that I had written them about failing, and that I spent a fortune on testing their guns. I filed a BBB complaint but through mediation had no confidence in S&W’s offer to “service my guns”, (for the third time). I wonder if engineering a defective product and then having an arrogant and entitled sounding young lady dismiss your victims is also a throwback to S&W’s heritage; or perhaps rather, they are turning over in their graves.

I can appreciate what they do with polymers. I get it, it's a massive speed up in process. It's sad that they WON'T (yes WON'T) produce products of yesteryear like the 4506! My hope for the future is that Metal Injection Molding advances to the point where entire frames (and slides for that matter) can be made using it. Right now many manufacturers use it to produce smaller parts like hammers and triggers. If it advances to the point where larger parts can be done like that, it will be as competitive process-to-process with polymer injection molding. And of course most people would PREFER the metal frame. Imagine them bringing back the 4506 or other discontinued legends (perfected model top break!). I really hope they are pushing research in that direction. Think of the MASSIVE market advantage a company would have to be the first one to reach that capability!!!
