Just made 30 of these for an event. I did drill out the holes a bit so I could use a fine point Frixion pen/marker to mark the sew points. Got pretty fast at assembly by the end.

You said the Sew Clean is no longer available. What do you recommend to remove blue pounce markings? I had to use blue bc white didn’t show up in certain places on my quilt. I put white iron off pounce on first; then blue over that on the white fabrics, thinking it would not get as stuck on. If you don’t have an alternative method, can you tell me what the main ingredients were in the Sew Clean?

I only use Signature 40 wt on my mid-arm machine. My order from Linda’s arrived a couple of days ago so I have some new colors to play with. Thank you for your continuing education videos. They help my baby steps grow into leaps and bounds!❤️

I’ve been quilting since 2013, much more now since retirement and quilting Quilts of Valor . I use the Glide Delights size L exclusively. This just eliminates one tension issue when troubles arise. Many great colors available to match my top thread colors. I’ve also used the L size magna quilt 60 weight- not always as successful- but they’re way more thread on those bobbins at a bit better price.

I just finished watching all four parts, to this series, and I'm impressed! Corey, you're a great teacher! You touch on so many different things and brought new ideas to me. I love the emphasis on nothing being a final solution, either, despite previous planning. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. What size binding strip did you use and what was your seam allowance on your binding strip to allow the binding to roll over to the other side and be picked up by your stitching in the ditch?

2 1/2” strip with a 1/4” seam allowance:)

I watched a youtube video where they used Elmer's school glue instead. I've used it on my last 3 quilts and the binding came out so perfect my mom couldn't stop talking about it! It does wash out and didn't gum up my needle.

When I use this method, my binding does not look as well as if I hand bind. I'll keep trying. Thanks for sharing. I use Elmer's washable glue and follow up with an iron.

Great questions! It does not wash out! Made to be a strong permanent hold:) Anytime you use an adhesive there is a chance that your needle will gum up a little. As Corey mentioned he has not experienced any gumming up.

Hi, I have a project where I plan to use a Sulky 30 wt cotton Blendable in the bobbin to match my backing. The top is raw edge fusible applique and I want to use the smoke Monopoly from Superior Threads . Do you think that will work? Thank you.

Absolutely moved by your life experiences Cory! There needs to be more beautiful people like Linda and mom you are inspiring I to was a single momma at one time! I can think of so many people who could use this as inspiration for their future if the so would! So many talented artists in the jail system can you imagine the quilt shows that would be awesome! I have never been in trouble but I had a brother who was always going through troubling times but his penmanship was amazing and the art he sent to us at times was beautiful sad but that's all they had the quilting choices are fanominal Cory!

Cory I just got my M24 yesterday. I am following your instructions but when I moved the pattern to my sewing area, I didn’t get the square around the design so I could resize it. It was an end 2 end design that came with the machine. I tried another and the same thing. Any suggestions?

It’s possible you have the Pan tool activated. At the top of your screen there is an icon at the top with a hand on it. If it has a green border around it that means it’s active. Click on it. That should change it a red border which should allow you to click on the pattern and get the handles to resize.

I'm concerned about color bleed when spraying with water because I used bright blues and reds in my quilt. Will I need to get the entire quilt damp to block it or can I just spray the borders? Excellent video. Thank you!
