if you only print PLA/PETG you can also go the bambu A1 for only $400
@xathridtech72715 күн бұрын
The x1 sidewinder is pretty old there are better comparison printers. Im assuming its because its what you had. That said the a series printers completely ruin it. Before that every sub 300 printer REQUIRED mods or a ton of calibration. Probably both. As a lot of parts just dont last as long

at 40sec you wrote and said P1S + AMS, while displaying the bambulab X1C

aw shucks, better delete the video then ;)
@Qual_16 күн бұрын
@@Maker_HQ It's just that your video is about the P1S + AMS combo, which is as of today, half the price of the X1C. People may be afraid of checking the printer, at that price range , since you've displayed 1500, while the 2nd option is 500. While in reality, today, the p1s is alsmot the same price as the sidewinder. That totally change the perception of the value of the comparaison you made during the whole video.

hi, I have a nikon d810. I saw this repair vid. was great. my d810 the control panel screen is cracked. Nikon wants to charge me 398.00 to fix it. can it be done by myself since I have never fixed a camera? I'm a computer tech. Do you have a video repairing that tiny screen on the top right of the camera? let me know
@Maker_HQАй бұрын
Hi, I don't have a video covering what you are after as this Nikon D610 repair was a once-off attempt at camera repair. Without knowing anything about the design of the D810, if yours is out of warranty, if you can source the parts yourself and if you have the necessary tools, I would say give it a go!

A stick of Rodico is handy for setting the second hand. Simply make a little finger of Rodico and stab the second hand into it and use I like a handle to set the hand on the post.

Well that was very inspiring. I'm in the process of working up the jam to take my D850 apart. I dropped it a couple of weeks ago, as I was loading up for a 2 week trip. (back for 2 days now) Luckily it worked well enough to take photographs but the viewfinder is blurry and the lens mount looks... not square. I need to find what parts I need and their names so I can try to source them. Anything to avoid the dreaded trip to Nikon.

When you measure the stem before cutting it try using the other side of the caliper. It is specifically made for measuring distance between two sides. Makes it so much easier :)

Just received the dial, movement and hands. Installed dial and hands on movement and what do I see, the 3 o’clock position is not marked with a 24hr layout markings, also the 9 o’clock sub dial is marked differently. I used the link you provided us with, so basically everyone who decides to build this, watch out the dial is wrong

Fantastic build. I have a similar seiko and would like to build something with same movement. I am strictly in the learning phase right now so I am soaking up as much knowledge as I can. Part of what made me click on this video is that the thumbnail makes the dial look like it is a light warm gray. Now that I have that stuck in my head, I need to make one. Do you happen to know of any light gray dials for this movement? Still learning about who sells what parts so I am a little lost. Thanks again for the video!

There's some dark grey ones here (s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DB2XmAL) or some silvery-grey ones here (s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dl0vK2T) but it's hard to ever be sure what you're getting. Thankfully with aliexpress being so cheap it's quite affordable to get a number of dials, for example, that you can choose from - like I did for my previous Seiko NH35 build

DO NOT USE TIRE SLIME. It’s terrible for overheating and dries up in most climates because of the heat. It makes for a messy tire swap later and isn’t needed at all. Secondly don’t apply your life savers until AFTER you have gotten the tire placed… lol seems like that would be common sense but you’re making the lip of the hub that much thicker. Sigh
