For the 1000 skimmer will a sld9000 pump be alright for them?
@jamestetreault76756 ай бұрын
Foam just breaks down and turns to dust, then you have a thousand leaks. Best to fold the liner over, use the liner not foam. It's more work but last forever, I have seen too many nightmares because of people relying on foam.

Do you have to prep the rocks if you’re repairing existing waterfall?
@mnwaterscapes6 ай бұрын
They can't be caked with dirt and no flowing water. While best clean and dry, they don't have to be squeaky and dry.

This video really explains & shows what to do. We are working on waterfall area & in the past we have had leaks, losing water as it splashes around & not flowing the way we want. It is so hard to control the flow & one can goes too quickly! How many cans did you use?
@andychatton7609 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like it will for the most part, seal a small waterfall feature containing water to flow into my small pond. I do not have a liner under my very large rocks. Will the seal it creates between rocks be sufficient to keep water from leaking through? Will this seal pull apart or expand/shrink with temperature changes enough to create leaks?

do you discard the netting in the spring? or can you remove the leafs from the netting?
@minnesotawaterscapes41142 жыл бұрын
With the amount of time and effort it would take to clean the net and properly store it, it's better to just discard it and buy a new one come fall.

We have 2 UV Clairifiers. Can these stay on in use with Dosing System? Was told to unplug them, was killing the good bacteria. Was this given information correct?🤔
@mnwaterscapes2 жыл бұрын
Overall the UV light kills all bacteria in the water that flows through it, good and bad. Maybe over a period of time the UV light could kill all the bacteria in the pond, but I'd be surprised if it could. If you have an automatic dosing system, make sure the bacteria is added after the UV lights if you decide to use them. We start a lot of ponds every year, all are clear, none have UV lights. But I digress...

Что за материал клеевой вы используете?

Google translate says you asked what kind of glue. The foam acts as glue. It is super sticky when first put down. When it dries, it becomes almost hard as a rock!

I have that foam and it’s unbelievably infuriating that it’s labeled as black, but when it dries it’s GREEN. Not subtle, dark green. No. Pretty bright yellow and green.

Also, I live in Vermont. So what would your rough estimate (a "guesstimate") be regarding a cost for the shipping?

We can look into it. You can PM us your town to get a closer quote. Today, shipping to Morriston, Vermont is $95 plus the part. Feel free to send a form on our website and we can figure out the details. www.mnponds.com/contact.html

Some box stores sell pond foam, but it's in the DIY can. We would consider giving up pond building if we had to use those on every project... Another, please don't use yellow foam! It's, um, not pretty.

We have a small water fall in our back yard, the ex- owner build it about 6 years ago, we moved in this house about 3 months, it stop working yesterday and dried out , can’t locate the water pump, does it need professional to repair it? Please give me some advise, thank you very much.
@mnwaterscapes3 жыл бұрын
If you can’t find the pump, having someone look over the pond who does it professionally may be beneficial. They may be able to show you the basics of how it’s built, and how the system should work. We have a leak blog on our website, and will be recording more videos on leak detection soon! Follow the electric cord and that should lead you to the pump.

Too much rock or not enough water flow? Perhaps both. 🤔
@mnwaterscapes3 жыл бұрын
Good eye! There is a lot of rock on this one. The homeowner wanted it this way, and asked us to "rebuild with minor changes at the waterfalls at the artists discretion". We re-used the rock that was onsite. With absolutely no machine access without major landscape changes and tree loss, the access to this site is just shy of one of the hardest we've done. There was nowhere else to put the rock, and they didn't want us to haul them all out by hand. A few rocks may have ended up down the hill, as when you let go of a rock it would take off!
