I hate suburban and urban sprawl America really needs to do so much more to stop sparawl and improve communities
@allardfreichmann37338 жыл бұрын
Suburbans can be developed better by building schools, small supermarkets, restaurant and so on. Less people have to travel to the big city. Far less energy is needed.

Great documentary - thank you! It is also awesome to notice that more and more people in US start getting the benefits of more livable communities rather than plain car-only suburbs.

there is no such thing as smarth growth on a finite planet and finite resources. We are way up the exponential curve on everything. You'd think your college professors, those most educated in the exact and applied sciences, would know this. You talk about having been to Boulder CO? One very smart man used to live there, watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWHKmXuflpKAa5Y

It's rare that an undergraduate thesis is anything anyone would ever want to watch or read, but this is excellent. Great video!

I don't feel small.....I feel powerful because I know who I am and from whom I came from. But smart growth is just a nice name for the controlling of the population. In that way, they can find you and it will be easy to target individuals and whole section of the population for extermination.

Brian Smith There is an awful lot of paranoia in that comment. Quick question though: how is "smart growth" a nice name for controlling the population as opposed to "non-smart growth"? Any urban planning theory is more or less influencing one's behavior in regards to an urban community -- aka cities. Heck, even the width of a street has a psychological impact on individuals and is used to influence behavior...most commonly to slow down some.

Sean Jankowski I don't have the time to get into details, but it's the world agenda by individuals like Bill Gates and others. Though, Bill Gates spoke about others ways to control world population, such as using vaccines.

Great documentary! It gave me a lot of inspiration for my uni assignment on post-fossil fuel transport development in Dunedin (New Zealand).

Excellent video. I hope you're still into smart growth, urbanism and TOD, and that you already have another video like this on your mind!
