Light commercials such as this are restricted to 50mph single carriageways, 60mph dual carriageways, 70mph motorways. If the road signs are green it’s a dual carriageway, motorways have blue signs.

Welcome to NI and congratulations 🎉 I never even knew they'd put an aqua park on the reservoir! I used to have the newsagents up at the roundabout. Have great time. You guys come here and I'm just sitting organising pre Christmas trip to Edinburgh 😁 used to get over most years, not been over since 2019 with all the Covid carry on. Tayto crisps are the best there is🏆 their chocolate is pure mingin though 🤮 so it is. 🤷

Thank you! We found it online and knew we had to go visit. It was such good fun. You'll be even more excited about visiting Edinburgh this Christmas since it's been a few years! Hope you have a really good time. We loved the Tayto crisps but we just had to try the chocolate as it was so unusual Haha.

Sounds good! We used L shaped brackets to screw it into the wooden flooring we laid. Also bolted it in at the top where the bed meets the metal behind the seats

@@dougthedispatch1902 Fab. I've just been watching the wiring video from the van battery to the house battery. You've just solved my problem. I knew I needed to fit the wire through the drain hole, in the wing, near the door. I just didn't know how it came back in the van. Awesome!

I've got a dispatch & thought my heater was bust until one day it randomly came on!, we found out the plug on the loom of wires is dodgy on them, I should get another plug really but a bungee cord attached to the wires and pulled taught onto the dashboard does the trick!! Ps the wire is under the footspace on the passenger side....good luck!

NOOOOOO!!!! That is dangerous having the heat outlet up a height like that. You need to have it coming out low such as under the bed and allow the heat rise. Having the outlet up in the air like that will collect moisture and damp which will trickle down to the unit and cause a build up of carbon dioxide. That electric tape can catch fire! Also, with that heater. They are not the safest units. You would have been better getting a stand alone unit and seperate tank but dont use the fuel lines that comes with the heater as they burst easy as its brittle rubber. Replace it for a purpose made fuel hose either plastic or rubber coated like you get built into the engine. Check your unit for fuel leaks. Also, I hope you have used a gasket sealer paste on the exhaust so no fumes collect inside the van. Now, for the heater slider on your van. There is a couple of snap on connection blocks behind the glove box and fuse panel. Get on the floor and look up behind. These work loose over time on these mk1. Slide the heater onto full speed and with the ignition on and check these connections. Also look up behind the dash to the back of the controls and the gear stick and give them wires a shake. But it is really important that you move the heat outlet hose of the diesel heater lower to the ground so no moisture can run down into the heater and cause carbon monoxide. Hence on caravans, trucks, motorhomes and boats all have them where the heat comes out as close to the floor as possible.
@dougthedispatch19022 жыл бұрын
That's for your response Stephen. Just to fill you in a little more we have a heater that has 4 outlets for heat and we were only using one of them to push the air higher above the bed/sofa. Do you think this could still be a problem? We also have a carbon monoxide detector in the van which we test every time we go out in the van. As for the in cab heater I'll have a look tomorrow at these places you've suggested to look. Hopefully you've pointed us in the right direction. Really appreciate you're help and advice. I also saw on a Citroen forum that it could be a problem with the connector behind the slider. Someone said they can get a bit dirty over time and they might need a clean? Do you think this could be the issue? Only thing is that means taking off the whole centre console... Looks like I've got a busy few days ahead of me! Thanks again, Ryan.
@millinutz2 жыл бұрын
Lucky you, you have at least got somewhere to mount the heater. Before I got that far, the Citroen blew a hole in the sump and lost all it's oil on the road. Total wreck. Now looking for a new van, but all the good ones have been snapped up for builds during the last couple C years. All I can say about your heater is, you need to turn it up high on a regular basis, otherwise you'll have problems thru it sooting up if only used on the low setting. Love your glasses Heather, they suit your face to a T. Thx 4 the update. Many happy warm nights, Steve.
@dougthedispatch19022 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support Steve! And sorry to hear about your sump problem. We also had an oil leak right before a weekend away in the van. Luckily I managed to have a look and it was just the oil filter that needed replaced. I managed to get one online pretty cheap and replace the oil and it's working a treat now! Also, Heather is chuffed with the compliment on her glasses! 👓👍 Stay safe, Ryan.

As a fellow Scot that lives in Midlothian I am very impressed with what you have achieved with Doug I have the same van! Would love to convert but have 2 kids now, my wife and myself used to do those trips before the kids arrived and watching your video series has brought bk some very good memories,, running sheallin , camping in Glen affric ,you should take a trip to torridon midge City but we'll worth it, and a great camp site for you that keeps you close to aviemore is alive estate, its a bit cheaper than the Glen because your 5 miles down the Rd!! you can also book quad biking on the estate, or go to aviemore and rent mtbs and hit the forest trails, or get the paddle boards out on 1 of the locks! just a few of my old experiences that we enjoyed but you seem like your having a ball with doug here is to many more trips in him,, all the best for future trips,

Hello guys anything to look out for when buying a dispatch I’m looking at one now
@dougthedispatch19022 жыл бұрын
I'd probably suggest buying one that has good mileage on it. Also the condition of the body work is something important to look out for. And also what it was used for before will determine the condition of the inside. Hope you find one, they're great

If you never attempt, or try anything in life, then you will grow old fast, then wonder where the time has gone, as you sit there writing out your Will. Had you stayed up there, you might of had a beautiful sunset?
