I just built the amazing Eiffel Tower and installed the light kit. The 'sparkly lights' cabling was an eyesore but personally came up with my own solution. I purchased a dark grey permanent marker, closely matching the Eiffel Tower Lego bricks colour and l basically coloured all the cables by hand in the dark grey colour (obviously making sure NOT to colour the white led light bulbs along the cable) and it camouflaged the cabling in the tower fantastically!! It was the best solution and looks sensational!!

Please bring back the fidelity of the LMB 1.0 sets. I was willing to pay the extra amount for a LMB kit because it was super detailed with lights for every small lamp and had cables cleverly hidden. Now this modulars exterior is a bit too dark for my liking.

Hi there, our light kits are engineered for effortless and intuitive installation. With the 2.0 kits, every component connects seamlessly, guaranteeing a smooth and efficient process from beginning to end. We have adopted a more customer focus design approach, ensuring the lighting system is both clean and simple to install. Above all, we prioritise an exceptional installation experience for our users.

Am I the only one to find LMB2 as downgrade from LMB1? Not only are cables now harder to hide on the outdoor parts, most sets are purely static. No lit candles on Rivendell anymore? I'm so glad I got the LMB1 set, even if I plan to build it maybe next year..

I think it’s too different in design to match my LMB 1.0 lit Modular buildings. I’ll probably do custom lighting so everything matches.

I found the first version better. There were more details illuminated. The first set was also cheaper. So, now you pay more for less.

Hi there, the reason some of our 2.0 kits have fewer lights than the 1.0 version is because we've shifted to a more customer-focused design. We listened to feedback and streamlined the experience, making sure each kit enhances your build while keeping it more simplified.

Sorry, but I am totally NOT convinced regarding your new LMB 2.0 components. What are "my" problems ? 1. The cables might be (a lot ?) thinner than the original cables, BUT they still add up beneath bricks/plates - they will always add up! So it would be better not to release thinner cables (you will NEVER get them thin enough...) but BRICKS which allow the routing of cables beneath them - e.g. my UCS Razor Crest Kit came with some transparent 1x1 round plates with a small gap which allowed the routing of the bit light - releasing more of these specialised bricks would be WAYS better than releasing thinner cables... yes these would not be "lighting components" by themselves but having plates and bricks with "tunnels" to be able to route cables would result in a lot more benefit for your users! 2. As some already mentioned here: REALLY no USB-C ?! 3. Do not force the users to use your USB power connecting cables - add special bricks, which contain an USB port and also connect to the lighting circuit! This would allow users to easily detach their models from the power source and not having power-cables hanging around... 4. The new power brick still uses two CR2032 batteries ?! REALLY ?! No rechargeable LION battery pack ?! Sorry: but shame one you, it's not environment friendly to use these batteries! I was a real fan of LMB, but I don't think you are going in the right direction - if the components would be cheaper, that at least that would be an argument, but that's not really the case...

Thank you for this! I would love it if you guys would make more demos of your DIY components and how they work. Also some instructional videos on maximum efficiency and also maximum load recommendations for each multi-port item etc. This would save customers from having to text or email you with a deluge of questions. Your 2.0 stuff is straight up fire, BTW! Love it.

Can these kits actually be sold in the EU without a USB-C cable? I thought the old USB had been made illegal as a power source.

I've used the latest kit for the Orchid set and looking forward to see the LMB2.0 system evolve. Hopefully we get to see a more cleverly designed "Wireless Connector 2.0" with an accompanying power bank/box that can be built around to conceal or mount directly with Lego pieces. Also, +1 vote for a USB-C cable.
@dentelis12 күн бұрын
It's extremely strange to use an old usb port in 2025, especially considering the price of LMB2.0. I don't have any adepter/powerbank at home other than usb-c and I'm not going to be back in past to buy it.

I am for these LMB 2.0 improvements and components. But I hope they continue to provide those streetlamps with LEGO parts as well. I consider those original white streetlamps near iconic and the black ones, also included in the new packs are a no go for me personally.
@LightMyBricks4 күн бұрын
Hi there, we completely understand your frustration and appreciate your feedback. We chose to include the black version in our modulars to match all our components, creating a uniform and cohesive look. However, we understand that some customers prefer the classic white option, and we’re actively exploring a workaround to provide more flexibility. In the meantime, if you decide to purchase a modular light kit, we’d be happy to send you a white lamp post free of charge. You can choose between our LMB 2.0 Astro Lamp (LED) - white or our custom LEGO-style white lamp post. If you opt for the LEGO-style lamp post, you can easily insert the light from the black lamp post into this one.

Hello. Will you be selling the lamp posts for LMB 2.0 for the modulars in their classic white design so that they can match the previous 1.0 version? I am disappointed the new Corner Tudor modular has a black lamp post and it appears all the new 2.0 modular sets also now have the black whereas I have 10 light kits for all the previous modulars in the 1.0 version that feature the white lamp. Unfortunately if a stand-alone white 2.0 lamp is not offered, I will be looking for a different brand to light my modulars, including the Tudor going forward.

@@LightMyBricks Did you use AI to write the above? The reply is completely off-topic B.S. I like LMB. I like LMB 2.0. All of my lighted sets use LMB - I won't buy light kits from anyone else. But the SLS kit is a sad joke. It needs at least a dozen more lights. How about a flashing red light at the top? How about lights on the tower, indicating staircases, staircase landings, and such? You really phoned this one in. That's why it's so disappointing. It's a lot of money for not a lot of lights. Now let's see if this generates another pointless/useless AI-generated response...

My kids still actively play with the Lion Knights Castle and I think adding some lighting would make that an even more enjoyable experience for them. Is your lighting system designed more for “display” builds rather than “play” builds? Or would it stand up to some active play?
@LightMyBricks3 күн бұрын
Hi there, it is still playable but cables might make things a bit trickier in some areas. If they’re planning on breaking down walls or separating sections, the cables could get in the way since they connect everything together. But when it comes to opening and closing the castle walls, the drawbridge, and playing with minifigures, they’ll still have plenty of fun! This is pretty standard with most light kits-some small features might be a little restricted, but it's all part of lighting up the magic! 😊

I love the idea of these. Seems like it would be a bit of a hassle to set them up each time in a way that they can all get power across the table in ways that facilitate the way the game plays. If you were doing it with a whole 40k table at least. What I am thinking though is getting a set or two to wire up a bunch of terrain and set up for display and photo sessions. If I am wrong and it is easy to set up in a multitude of ways then later a whole board worth would be a good project.
