Just found your channel. I’m here because I’m trying to clean out my basement. My basement is full of my deceased parents’ furniture from my childhood home. It’s so difficult. Another mistake is leaving up too much of your daily decor instead of letting your Christmas things have their turn. For example during the holidays I would have taken down all those pictures on the wall and let my tree have room to breathe. My art wall actually became my favorite Christmas photos from years past.

Nope nope nope!! I disagree with removing everything from an area. If something happens and you get distracted, you've made a bigger mess than you had to begin with. Dana K White, a Slob Comes Clean taught me that so if that's #2 I don't need to here the rest of them
@HomeMadeLovely5 ай бұрын
@@Sandi-zh2wx that’s OK - you’re welcome to disagree and if you ever happen to listen to the rest of what I teach, you don’t have to start with an entire room! The paint after everything is in place is creating a lot more work for yourself. Have never heard of doing that, and I think for good reason. While I agree on the other points of progression, I couldn't get past the hard-backed chairs in your room - would people actually sit in them pressed up against the wall? Are they extra chairs from a dining table? If not, that doesn't make sense to me. And the lamps seem very heavy for the size of the table and the smaller art print behind them. Oh well. You do you, as they say.
@HomeMadeLovely5 ай бұрын
@@giennefarcais6834 it’s also a lot of work to have to choose paint colors multiple times because you choose that first!!! And yes, that is my dining room and those are extra dining chairs. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I decided to listen to this a 2nd time because it seemed to go by very quickly. Then, it occurred to me that as you addressed each letter of your s.u.c.c.e.s.s method, it might be helpful if you would put a screen up that just had the meaning of eachletter. For instance, "Start Smart !" printed on screen ... then go on to elaborate. I feel that this way, the points won't get blurred together. Anyway, I think it is a very good plan & I am going to write down the steps so I don't forget them. As a gal B'Boomer, I strive to be organized and simplified. While people think my house is very much "together," as you know, life is a work in progress. Closets are my next challenge. 😬 I'm new to your channel, and I just subscribed.
