I thought it would be $600 for digital and $700 for disc version. This is basically a $300 increase from the original digital ps5 which $400.

I really don’t think I will be picking this up. The cost is way too prohibitive and I don’t think it gives me anything I really care about. And to be honest, I play my ps5 now mostly on my portal lol

I was sceptical about portal but after buying it I believe it’s worth every penny. It works way better than remoteplay app connected through phone . I live in India and most of the speeds we get here on mobile devices are around 100 mbps download and upload. I connect my portal with my mobile data and it works way better than the remoteplay app . Best buy ! Should buy if you have good 5g mobile data

got this as a gift and its a nightmare big time even with fast internet when u connect far from your ps5 its soo slow and most of the time doesnt connect ... the worst from sony.. disaster

The portal is great device and one especially suited to those mature gamers. Those who have a family/ wife / kids. I haven’t played my ps5 for longer than 10 mins in months. This actually allows me to play it whenever I want around the house. Of course in bed is the best place.

They should ad a type of split screen 1 player can play one on the portal and one on the tv

I had no idea you could split the network to use either 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz. I'm using an Ethernet cable so I don't need to so that but I have just in case I stop using an ethernet cable.

I returned mine. It works better and looks better on my phone. The screen on the portal doesn't get bright enough and looks like crap.

*This should have been a standalone portable unit without needing to purchase a ps4/ps5. Missed opportunity 3/5*

So in the beginning I wasn’t going to get a portal but I saw a good deal online for $170 and now I actually love it. I take the Portal and my ROG Ally every where they’re all I need.

Its really good when you are in gaming mood and your partner wants to watch shows I basically use it for night gaming inside the duvet and its fun guys I don't know for the previous updates but i got an update recently as its only 2 weeks old and i am loving it and believe me no video is doing justice to the screen quality it actually has

Haven’t tried hcpi yet, but I’m tethered with 2gb speed in my home and I still lag on CFB25 RTG lol single player.

A cat 8-10 cable from Amazon will help. Those cheap cords only give lower speeds.
