Thanks for your comment mate. Please bear in mind this was uploaded over 2 years ago, when the AI was not even nearly as aggressive as it is now. There was an update about 6-12 months after this was uploaded where they completely changed how aggressive the AI was. There is NO WAY I could beat the Hardest AI now. Although it might be fun to try

Thank you for your kind comment. Please keep in mind this as pre AI update. The AI used to be much much easier. I wouldnt be able to do this now as i haven't played AoE for 2 years

I cant imagine playing AoE on a console, it sounds incredibly hard. Make the move to PC mate! You wont look back

@@mannsauce it's not really bad to be honest. I found it fun. But I kinda stopped playing once ark came out. But I've since quit ark and went back to elder scrolls.

​@@mannsauceit's fun. Not as intuitive as PC, and the controllers controls are actually pretty decent. Now I would add, don't use auto eco in early game, but it's a massive help when you got 85 vills pumping out of 3 TCs back at home and going straight to a resource while you're on the other side of the map with a legion of men at arms and rams.

Click a villager to build a mill then select farm and shift-click 8 times on the mill and it'll build 8 farms in perfect symmetry around the farm, assuming you have the resources. One Villager can build the mill and all the farms then just rally your TC to one of the farms and the vills will find a farm to work at until they run out. Then build another mill, repeat etc.

Apologies for the long reply. I assigned the arrow keys to WASD, which most people will hate as PRO players use those keys to build houses etc... In regards to the farms @johnnypenso9574 explained it perfectly

The English longbows have a tech you can research to be able to heal themselves when they're not in combat

@@mannsauce yea they replaced the campfire tech from bowmen to men-at-arms. Also it now increases attack speed instead of healing your units.

Have farms selected and then in the middle of the mill hold SHIFT and keep clicking and it will auto place the farms around the mill as show. The SHIFT button also multi-queues infantry units by doing the same. Also for example, you could have 4 barracks selected and shift click all of them at the same time and it will multi-queue on each barracks.

This was a game from a year ago so the AI is probably at a different skill level now. So you're probably right, it might be much quicker now

Oh really! I haven't experienced that unfortunately. My only thought would be that it would encourage you to get better/ "carry the team". I could be very wrong on that. My recommendation would be join the AoE4 community page on Facebook. The community there is fantastic. Very different from other gaming pages/forums as its very accepting for new players. have you tried building an army and using an actual BO? All AI's till "very hard" are easy and dumb.

Thanks for the awesome comment mate! Appreciate you taking the time to write that. Absolutely, I can explain what the enemy could've done to counter! This is such an effective push because unless the enemy is in castle age, there isn't really much of a counter for early MAA!

Thanks for watching dude! Yeah absolutely it can be hard to manage for sure. I tried to go up against two Hardest AI and that was BRUTAL!! Keep trying and try different/new things, see what works for you. Ive found the best and highest learning curve is 1vs1 pvp

​@@mannsauce You're very welcome. Tried a radical departure from my normal tactics on AOE 4 this morning and attacked them hard and early with Longbowmen. I noticed something when reviewing the stats of when the Intermediate and Hard AI twatted me in past games. They seem to just constantly pump out villagers in order to boom their economy so that they can spam you with waves of troops. I used to get utterly ruined by the French in particular. So I implented your ideas and built up a raiding party as soon as I could and kept picking off their villagers, the AI shat itself, tried building stone walls around it's base and I just kept picking the villagers off 😂😂😂 I built my White Tower and some additional forts on the edge of their base to inflict as much misery and pain on them as possible and it felt good :D The amount of times I just sat back without trying to harrass the AI and got my arse handed to me on a plate makes sense now. Game was won in 5 minutes in Feudal.

@@jambokaos that is AWESOME mate!! It's a great feeling when it makes sense and you put new tactics into your library of wisdom. Strong economy = strong army, the more villagers youre pumping out, the better! Try and incorporate a second town centre, then you can get out twice as many villagers at once!! Very helpful for late game boom! Congratulations once again
