Far away places With strange sounding names Far away over the sea Those far away places With the strange sounding names Are calling, calling me Going to China or maybe Siam But I wanna see for myself Those far away places I’ve been reading about In a book that I took from a shelf I start getting restless Whenever I hear The whistle of a train I pray for the day I can get underway And look for those castles in Spain They call me a dreamer Well maybe I am But I know I’m burning to see Those far away places With the strange sounding names Are calling, calling, calling Calling, calling, calling me Calling, calling, calling Calling, calling, calling me

Looks like the great late Joe Turner (the pianist, not the singer!) sits at the keys! Thank you for this. Any trace that the one and only Valaida left ist worthwhile looking at and listening to! Excerpt from the French movie "Pièges" (1939)

I read when he slept all he would dream about was chords and it slowly drove him mad, although he often joked about it

At the end.. looks like ol Peggy had a major crush on Buddy.. very obvious and very adorable !

Yes, but I think her crush is even more obvious at the beginning when Lawrence Welk asks if they would like Buddy to come and play for them.

They were regarded for each having perfect pitch both individually and as a group. This performance validates their reputation.

Yes you are right, this is before where all the entertainment has to appear sexy and show everything, thanks to Hollywood influence ! Am not a prude but Jennifer Lopez at last years Superbowl was so over the top gross and Shakira vying to see who could look cheaper. The Lennon sister's were talented and beautiful voices and loved them !

All that flaunting is just to coverup the fact that they are lacking in talent. I would swear that today’s audience is tone deaf.
