My natural nails suck, they bend when wet and they peel. I'm a hairdresser so my hands are wet alot, I get them done so they don't get wrecked, also the scissors don't cut them but can cut my real nails and they don't burn when in contact with a curling iron.

Agree, I see it as a red flag. Everytime i see a long set, i think how do you wipe your ass ...

Having them done stops me from biting them. Have actually had a therapist say it’s a better alternative to medication for me personally. Also it is one of those things that people don’t necessarily notice but can add to a polished look which, for better or worse, impacts opportunities & how you’re treated. Also also - sometimes I do something fun. Seems the same as jewelry to me.

I think they’re kind of just a fun thing to do, and like a little cosmetic to add on to match outfits with or just cause you like to look at them.

I'll get my nails done when my husband brings me along for work trips, just because it looks a little more pulled together, but other than that I don't really care and neither does he.

I care about my nails only beacuse i look at my hands amd use my hands. I most definitely dont do it for others.. i like the look with my diamond ring
