Really good build and nice contrast and you gave me a good idea and use for some thin off cuts of nice wood to use 8nnthis fashion that I wasn’t sure what to do with. Great job

I would make a wooden push stick. Just in case you accidentally hit the blade, the plastic doesn't break on you and shatter all over the place and cause you injuries and also make 1 for your router table .. Awesome work boss .. And maybe think about a sacrificial fence you can mount on your tablesaw

Amazing ceejay. That was useful.You could have done a box to reinforce the joints. One useful tip is the jointing of two woods face side to face side or edge to edge to increase the thickness. I made a box with 10mm panel and when I used 16mm screw for the hinge it is pocking inside the box. I now have to use smaller screws less than 10mm or better to use 2x10mm panels jointed together. Please kindly demonstrate the various joints with projects.

That was interesting. The pearl powder; I've never seen that done before, and I'm an old man that had a career in construction. You taught me something, young man. Thank you. My preference is the natural wood look over stain. Most of the time when I see stained wood I think that it's an imitation, but that's just me. The only time that I really care is when it's in my house :-) I'll keep watching. Subscribed.

Wood carving is definitely a skill that requires a LOT of practice, so keep at it! I've been carving for a decent amount of time and I'm still learning, so don't let small mistakes get you down, just keep pushing and practicing!
@ceejay_woodworking5 ай бұрын
@johncbrown26 thank you for that and I will keep It going

I wonder if using something like a card scraper to push the powder down into the grain more would help any. It might be worth a test, just to see. Like, push the powder down into the wood as if you were trying to crush it up/break the powder down into a finer powder. Then after that use this same technique, adding your stain and then more powder with the brush... Just a thought, it might be worth testing out
@ceejay_woodworking5 ай бұрын
@johncbrown26 that card idea is good I'll try it and the power I have is already super fine. Just opening the led makes a pearl power cloud. But I'll see if I can get it finer
@johncbrown265 ай бұрын
@@ceejay_woodworking yeah, I guess I'm not really saying to try to get it any finer, just that the act of pushing it into the woods with a card scraper or something similar would resemble doing that, if that makes more sense
