Thank you for this video. I think it's great to put into perspective that, despite the issues with the Prequels, how much better (VASTLY better) it was to have George Lucas see his vision through and finish his story. And how important it is to ignore the EU material when it oversteps its boundaries and tells stories that don't support and enhance the vision of the original creator. _And_ how important it is for "official" continuations _without_ the original creator to properly respect the original material, respect the direction that the fans supported the story going, and try to continue the story with as much in common with the original vision as possible. The Sequel trilogy did none of that, and that's why it fails. Same with HALO, a similar property with a _very_ similar downfall due to a piss-poor "official" continuation and loads of worthless EU material that detracts from Bungie's original vision.
@EternalDrumming29 күн бұрын
@@RockLegend2A Very well said. I like the prequel trilogy as well. The sequel trilogy (7, 8, 9) I didn't like much at all. Some of the Star Wars series on Disney Plus are good and some are just ok. I do enjoy getting more and more Star Wars series because it at least attempts to move the story more.....does it work all the time no of course it doesn't. But if Star Wars just ended and no more series were made that would kinda stink. Yes the original trilogy will always be my favorite and The Empire Strikes back will always be my all time favorite movie. But Star Wars has to move on and Dave F I think is doing a good job with that as best he can working within the evil empire that is Disney 🤪

People often quote lines like "Do or do not... there is no try" or "No, Luke... I am your father" as the best Star Wars quotes, but for me, this is my favorite line in all of Star Wars. The choice of phrase, the matter of fact where the guy says it, it's all so perfect lmfao

Dude, such an underrated classic. I love everything about this game too: the gameplay, the graphics, and especially the music. Grated, like you said too, I've also got some serious nostalgia bias myself, but regardless this is still one of the best licensed games on NES in my opinion. I love the montage format you used instead of just a straight playthrough. Highlighting the hard parts from each level and the bosses shows off the cool parts of the game and still leaves enough for anyone who hasn't played the game to try it themselves. It also gives a great overall flow to the video too. Great job!

I too used to think that for some reason they referred to droidekas as droid-cars/droidecars! I thought it was a play on them being shaped like wheels and rolling around. So I thought droidekas was the name in their native language and droid-cars was what they called them in "English". It wasn't until years later it occurred to me his accent and pronunciation was just different from Gunray's in the previous scene. I thought I was the only one lol!

Agreed, it does feel like the soundtrack for Mega Man 5 is a bit underrated. When discussing Mega Man music, most of the praise typically goes to Mega Man 2 and 3 (which are also great), but MM5 gets overlooked; which is a shame because MM5 rocks. All Mega Man music is incredible in my opinion though.
