I mean, Dr. Reid got a point about fairy tales. Poeple back in the old days need to warn their children about stranger danger, always come home before sun down and dont get me started on how wrong Disney version of magical creature from the past, fairy were ugly evil being back then.... they make fairy tale like a horror story to make children be more aware to keep them safe. The modern fairy tales that we have right now are mostly just showing how if you struggle and keep, you can achive your happy ending and what with Disney doing right now, children want their parents just to realize and say they sorry for their wrong doing....i not saying that not a bad thing, i just want to point out that we right now limit the lesson that coming from fairy tale because of how scary the story are....

One thing I've learned from watching so many of these crime dramas; when someone is operating under a severe delusion, aggressively pushing back against them is rarely a good idea. It's a delicate balance between actually helping them face their problems and protecting yourself from potential backlash, even more so if they are capable of assault.

@@gbsailing9436 He was dealing with someone who was operating under a delusion and had a knife against a potential victim's throat. Approaching her antagonistically or openly calling her wrong would have put the victim's life in danger. Instead, he was able to play a part that diffused the situation and resolved things peaceably.

It shows a lot about Spencer because he very well could have pulled out his gun and shot her and and in all accounts he would have had every right to he would have had every right to turn her into Swiss kjust with cheese but he didn't want to do that he did not want to have to kill someone

…aaannnd then the crazy girl was out into an insane asylum, or “a tower” where she was woken up to the reality that her childhood and adulthood have all been one self-delusional lie filled with horrific and tragic bullcrap. I’m sure she did get all of the help she needed, of course, but still.

Spence and JJ's mom are right we shouldn't have to shield kids from what the world is like especially with the fairy tales. The older stories sound better anyways

I really feel bad for this unsub :(. because of her pedophile father, she uses the story of cinderella to escape the scary reality of her trauma. she's really a little girl in a woman's body. I'm glad Reid was able to convince her to surrender, just like Owen, Samantha and Amanda/Adam (other unsubs I feel bad for)
