Hi! I know this is an older video but I was wondering what shipping was like for you? How long did it take, etc? Thank you!
@JUMBLE2015Күн бұрын
Hi there, it was a while back but I think the shipping was pretty quick. Maybe a week or so for me to get it (but back then it was on Amazon) so not sure if it shipped from an Amazon warehouse or directly from the seller.

Can you use a scart to hdmi converter instead of RCA to hdmi, if your VHS has a scart socket? Thanks

Driving in Nashville is the only reason I purchased a dash cam. Also, the people who fail to stay right of center line when something is in their lane. Yes. The bounce over the yellow line and come at you head on. Also people walk out in front of your moving vehicle in a defiant manner. They are hoping for a pay day. There are Jaywalking laws they seem to not know about. I educated some of them. MSM is not helpful with this situation. They always blame the vehicle and vehicle drivers. MSM and silly laws gives the public a false sense of security in believing they can’t get sued for damages to the vehicle’s owners personal property and the mental anguish stuffed by the driver because some fool wants to play stupid games. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. They are indeed foolish.

The other avi cord is for like Xbox og xbox 360 I think works with ps2 it outputs higher resolution videos. There's even another Yellow rca cord that's similar to yours but it's digital. Some dvd player are high Def. Other aren't but can upscale and some of those players have rca hdmi optical spdif for audio and digital rca as well and it out put higher res and Its for old vcr players

Thanks! This works really well. Can you recommend some software for basic video editing?
@JUMBLE20159 күн бұрын
Glad it worked for you. I am sure there are better ones out there but the two I use are Microsoft Clipchamp and Microsoft Photos Legacy (this one might be hard to find as Clipchamp replaced it.) Both are free and do everything I need, hope that helps. Here is a video I did a while back about how to clip files with Clipchamp, it might help you just get started - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIPdlYakltKnfJo

I highly recommend Davinci Resolve. I use the full studio version now but used their free basic version for a few years. It's worth getting onto it if you're going to develop video editing. And even if you're not going to. Excellent software!

Can all these adjustments and settings be done through the Garmin connect app or does it have to be done only through the actual watch?
@WatchJumble10 күн бұрын
This is the 1st generation Instinct, everything has to be done on the actual watch. If you have the Instinct 2 or later you can do them on the watch or the Garmin Connect app on your phone.

Definitely not recommended if your doing longer workouts but sprints is good keeping track of it
@Gage_Bellomo3 сағат бұрын
I think it’s good for longer workouts like mine. Today I did 10x3 mins at threshold pace and the lap time is perfect to record my 3 minute splits as well as my 1 minute rest in between each rep.

Great video! I'm new to the site and noticed there were a lot of similar data fields. 1. I don't know when to choose a complication over the other ones. 2. Do you have an idea how to get other data not provided by Garmin to appear on the watchface? Like an app on the phone that can broadcast data locally?
@WJGoodman22 күн бұрын
Umm, the red+green+blue (component video) cables will work just fine. You just need to be consistent at both ends so if green replaces yellow, it needs to on both sides. A color is a color - they are just RCA cables with various colors but their functionality is the same across any color..

Ok I have a quansheng uv5 and if the step is not set at 2.50khz when I program a 70 cm frequency even though I have the shift set at +/-.5 when I key up the the repertor input is not right. So like I program a frequency of 443.500 when I key up it will be 444.00 instead of 448.500. any idea why that's happening it doesn't do it on the 2 meter frequencies and chip won't let me go any lower than 5

I cannot for the life of me get the screws out of mine. I have a properly fitting phillips head screwdriver but cannot get the screws to unscrew. I've tried warm soapy water. I'm gonna see if I can fine some penetrating oil and hope that helps. Update: I found a different screwdriver, apparently the phillips head that I was using had been stripped where it was the right size, but no longer pointy enough to grab.

Thanks for this useful and practical instruction for folks who are trying to convert old analog footage to a more permanent format. I completed this process last year and captured some really old TV content - which is hilarious to watch just for the old advertising, especially local businesses who did their own ads lol! So flash forward to 2024 and where the previous setup was actual VHS VCR and relatively easy to set up physically; the software was somewhat of a learning curve but I figured that out also. Now today I have 8mm video tape in a Sony Handicam but the outputs are weird - only 2 RCA jacks; presumably because it was not recording in STEREO? Any whichway I connect this up to the adapter + Capture device + Macbook USB, I cannot get the audio through to the video capture recording. Going directly into an older Samsung HDTV, sound is fine. Any suggestions or other resources you could recommend? My last ditch effort here is to run it on the TV and record it on a digital videocamera or iPhone lol... Thanks
