Great video thanks.my father,uncle and grandfather's ashes are in the swale here,my grandfather operated the first bridge,and the family lived in a cottage beside it !

Nice one paul , reminds me of 1979 we were flooded in Whitfeld rd where B & Q is now it was flooded all the way to where the orbital road runs now , I remember it well those fields also ,froze over , durring christmas befor it was able to subside , Cudworth road was also flooded , the water was under the floor as they are not solid , i think half the street was flooded from Newtown uo Cudworth road, and what do they do? Build on it!!! JC

Well filmed Paul and a great choice of music. It really does evoke thoughts of those who left and returned and those who never returned. My uncle returned from Dunkirk and my Father left for France in June 1944 and fortunately, returned at the end of the war but I'm not sure if either went through Folkestone. Respect to all and RIP to those who never came home.
