Been laughing about this video for almost 20 years and now I've shared it with my son so he can laugh along as he learns the cello.

Pachelbel was most likely a brilliant improviser and expected the cellist to be too with crazy modulations, a bad-ass swing with the rest of the 'cats' who make a steaming and satisfying 'hot pot' out of a few 'notes' with delicious alternative and Thelonious 'chops' . You dig? 😉

Why the Pachelbel do I keep coming back to this video when Canon in Dm is Pachelbelling every Pacelbelling where. This must be the umpteent Pachelbelling time I watched this video. Pachelbel you and all generations after you. jk.jk.

@florinivan6907Ай бұрын
You can drink at any age. But you cannot buy it legally. No country outside of wannabe North Koreas is gonna lock up a 14 year old for having a drink. Your comment implies you would get locked up if caught. Only dictatorships do that.

This was actually amazing to watch. Someone commented about it on another video that was explaining how many songs use that same 8 cord progression. I decided to search after that and found this which was amazing. I’ve never seen this guy before but he’s very funny 😂.

This song by Axis of Awesome has a similar idea behind it, but was apparently used in a court case to successfully defend Ed Sheeran from intellectual property infringement allegations, on the basis that many pieces of music sound similar to each other because there are simply not an infinite number of ways ways for them to sound different. Unfortunately, a lot of commenters here don't realize that, nor realize that Maroon 5's Memories was an homage, about which Adam openly acknowledged the influence of Pachabel in interview(s). Nor do they realize that Maroon 5 added enough other melody and well-written lyrics to make Memories its own thing, and actually catchy and profound at that. Bottom line: some music is naturally gonna sound like some other music, because of honest inspiration and because of real-world limitations regarding limited numbers of notes/chords/etc. Stop being pretentious snobs, y'all, and deal with that. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6HMlaKhltCIaqsfeature=shared

Recently the song "Flake" by Jack Johnson started playing at work. At 1:19 he literally sings "oftentimes we're lazy" while the Pachelbel chords play. I feel like that's gotta be intentional lol
