Yes, Vademon is a plant, I made a Video about weird digimon facts where I mentioned that^^ Also, absolute agree on Airdramon, which is the cooler of the two. And we need a Landdramon as well, to complete the trio of sky, ocean and land. Groundramon just doesn't work, it needs to be a snakey thing on Adult/Champion.

Sadly, no, only a Groundramon that is Perfect Level and clearly not part of this.

@rieftheleaf part of me says "aw that sucks". While another part of me says "well that's good. That means those names aren't taken and there's still potential". "Potential" i say. But they haven't done anything with airdramon in all these years. So I can't really get my hopes up for either airdramon line or 3rd land line at this point. Really saddening. It was a pleasure and I was surprised to see only games I played, not how that usually goes when I watch videos like this^^ Ah, I see, then sorry about thinking it might be a joke^^ I get that, I do that on my streams all the time with certain characters. And about that game, well, nothing to really show thus far, concepts stand, I have part of the story written and done a lot of writing for it in general, my wife will program it and some friends do music, artworks and modelling^^ But I will probably show more and more over time^^ Thanks for your interest in it! @rieftheleaf i have a dragon quest question. I'll go ahead and admit. I'm not very informed of dragon quest history. So I was wondering. Why are the first 3 numbered games called the erdrick trilogy? And why do i often see 1 and 2 paired together? If they are a trilogy. Shouldn't they be together always? Instead of singling the 3rd out?

Ok, there are several reasons here. First of, they are a trilogy that circles around the legendary Hero called Erdrick (which is not his(her name, but rather a title given). 4-6 are btw also a trilogy called the Zenithia Trilogoy because it circles around the whole land of Zenithia. Now, why they are singled out is because the first two play after Erdrick has finished his quest, and you play his ancestors. On top of that they are much simpler games then everything that came after them, and also much shorter, both being easily finishable in one day. Now 3 is a prequel, in which you play as the character that will become Erdrick. It is a much longer game, it introduces classes and sets up a lot of staples we have in Dragon Quest nowadays, and even in RPG's in general, thus it is hold much more special than the other two. It is longer than the other two combined even. You could say this is the one establishing Dragon Quest for real. There is also DQXI, which is even a prequel to 3, so technically you even have a quadrology. And while, as I mentioned, 4-6 are a trilogy, they dropped that with 8. 7 was supposed to be the first one in the Eden trilogy, but that never happened and thus 7, 8, 9 and 10 are just standalone games in their own worlds.

Well, it is a time commitment XD And probably I will never finish this completely, yeah, I will probably get a shiny Bulbasaur, but a full shiny gen 1 living dex is the absolute end goal, without cheats or RNG manipulation XD I am a bit crazy, yes. Especially as this is emulated and not even for my actual collection XD

So far, no, as I go by year and am in... 2009 I think? currently, they haven't shown up yet. I will get to them, hopefully not forgetting about those as they aren't in Wikimons digimon by year list but in their own list, but I will try my best :D

@@rieftheleaf they sure do like to make similar but not actually digimon things and use them as the villains. Or just enemy grunts. 😅

Or, with the DigiGnomes, even helpful creatures :D But I guess using other creatures makes it easier to make them fall of the leveling grid. Like, the last boss being a mega makes it look just as strong as other megas, even if you power it up heavily lorewise.

Yeah, definitely, in Next Order you have the full Luna Line but no Coronamon and no GraceNovamon? Wtf?

@rieftheleaf it makes sense for Gnova not to be there if both halves are not present. But I agree with the "wtf". Just because it makes sense. Doesn't make it right. Lunamon was appearing hecking EVERYWHERE without its corona counterpart. Like. When I was playing cyber sleuth for the first time. (I was years late. A friend bought the duo pack for me as a birthday present. Anyways.) When I played for the first time. And SAYO appeared (purple beanie with goggles) i was super hyped. Sayo is a lunamon... uh... owner? Kinda feels weird to say "owner" in digimon. But oh well. But then my hype immediately fell as I slowly realized that koh (coronamon "owner") wasn't present and wasn't going to appear either. Really upset me for the rest of the playthrough. Heck. They easily could have made up for it by putting koh and coronamon in hackers memory. But nope. Eh...

@@rieftheleaf Well, considered that thousands of people played the game. Quite a few might had a whamon or shellmon and scolded or praised then at that time. It can happen to two different Digimon, with two different actions and its a 100% on those cases. And I believe thats the point. Its not something intended for people to know that can happen. Its Just something random that might happen ocasionally to a few people, and those people will be left confused or believing its a glitch.

True. And there are other, far easier ways to get these Digimon anyway, it is not like you are missing out on anything if it doesn't happen to you. As long as that is the case, it's a neat... easter egg? Can it be called that?

The only reason I like it so much is because it's been with me for so long. It just kind of integrated itself into my mind. If you're not sure or are still on the fence about the game. I suggest watching jaiden's animation video talking about her first experience with the game. And maybe then deciding. :p ✌️

Oh, no worries, I finished the first game and played those two a little some years back and really liked them^^ I just never finished them as I fell off of using emulation at a point, and they were never released in germany, so that was my only option :D
