From memory which is flawed, recorded in Boro/Stockton with Wal from Sofahead engineering/recording the session, correct that Darren Guy took over drumming duties for the recording, still a 5 piece at this point.

Shaun richardson was usually there permanent drummer. But he was absent on this recording for one reason or another his drumming shoes were filled by a young talented 17yr old called Darren guy on this recording

Found it in Flashback in Islington years ago. I remembered seeing them in London years previous and enjoyed them, so when I saw this I took a punt. Love it! Are you in the band by any chance?

wow, you are so awesome for this. i've been obsessed with this band for like 4 years now and i've been trying to scour the internet for any live footage of them. thank you if you happen to have any live videos where they play 'a machine for living in' please upload. i've been learning their guitar parts, absolutely great players and a great band

This is an extremely raw recording done live in one day at Toe Rag Studios in London a few months before the band split up. This is an interesting insight into the band if you never had the fortune to catch them live. It also features revamped versions of the songs released before Kevin Williams joined on second guitar plus a mostly finished song, Caffeine, that wasn’t ever given real studio treatment.

Went to Filson for the Housefly tattoo event by Dan Santoro, He and a friend saw my sdre diary shirt from the 2023 show and had an old high school story of a friend who sold all about 60 cassettes or cds to buy the How It Feels To Be Something on cd & how sdre was so big in high school for them late 90s. That same friend somehow got Jeremys number n called him daily till he 1 day picked up..and he got so nervous he hung up. Someday he finally got to talk to Jeremy n he sang him some lyrics from the new album..is how the story went.

Yes, this is the version broadcast on RTE (Irish TV) in December '97. It was longer (50 mins) than the MTV version (25 mins) which went out on St. Patricks Day earlier in the year.
