Can someone please tell me how every disassembly video makes it look SO EASY to remove the back panel w/ fan & power switch?? I have 2 PS2s and on both of them i cannot wiggle the panel free. Idk what else is holding it in place other than those 3 brass screws.

Asshole. The most difficult part of this whole process is putting the power button and ejector button and ribbon back into place. All i see is dudes hand, and to put it under the "black plastic" the entire thing is black plastic, dumbass.

All this for a coin battery which you could cut a hole in the bottom to change it easier but because its such a great console i wouldn't do that to mine PS music is far too loud

I’ve been watching this video since it was uploaded and it’s been helpful. This past week my PS2 has a problem with the ribbon cable connecting the power/ reset buttons (I think) and it won’t stay on longer than 10 seconds… 😢

Umm.. just completed the whole video took it apart and cleaned it. Now it won’t turn back on. Not sure what I missed.

i not cleaned out my ps2 in like 20+ years and it sure does have dust build up as see it on my fan might have to test clean out my ps2 soon though still works like brand new as day i got it.

I can't thank you enough. I had a network set up between a windows 10 computer and a Windows 7 computer, and last night, the Win 10 disappeared from my Win 7. I had no idea why. So I used a restore point - nothing. Then I used a backup - again, nothing, and for this entire day, I went crazy trying to figure out why my Win 10 disappeared. I scoured the Internet and got the usual instructions for setting up a network, but mine had already been set up, and looking at such things as services, nothing seemed to have changed. Then I came upon your video, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I created the shortcut. There was the Win 10 computer in all its glory. Bless you, and I'm not even religious.

in 2008 I put 2 80GB retail velociraptors in RAID stripe and my win7 booted up from cold in less than 15 seconds, loaded cs4 and later cs5 photoshop in record time. For it's time it was amazing, but ssds made it pretty much irrelevant

Be careful when using compressed air to clean a fan. You can easily exceed the max RPM of the fan bearing, and burning it out.

Just got a rough looking ps2 fat for free. Gonna clean it up and fix the disc tray. For some reason the previous owner lost all but 2 long and 2 short screws for the outer shell 😐
