As someone who only settled down in Kentucky a couple years ago (and love it), I really enjoyed this.

That is not a cornet it's a French horn. A cornet is a smaller sized trumpet I only one. Unless it's a smaller French horn and maybe the smaller instruments are called cornets. Idk. But I know for sure it's a French horn

Very good videos i shall subscribe and hope tk see many more. As a white Appalachian born in Whitesburg Ky 79 ive never seen any whatsoever discrimination but have heard of it from all older generations. The young someone my age i over heard one day really shocked me as i thought we knew no matter what..yet i held my breath and shamed him only by truths both natural as thers only one race ( Human ) yes they layed the lie so long ago and its easy tj understand if only in that way by education how people even begin to let thet seed of hatred sprout..i thank God i was never raised to even think on it except how can it be? So many answers needed far more than healing at this moment then healing can begin we'll never be able to overlook this nor should we no one alive had anything to do with starting or keeping it going ( Besides Political Parasite ) that discriminate against nearly everyone in APPALACHIA yet here we are a quarter way into this 21st century...thats a truthful glance into what we accept.

While at the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and School Aberdeen Proving Ground MD. I had access to the command building library. That's where I was able to read all five volumes of 'The Machine Gun' by Colonel Chinn. Also, the first volume had a dedication by and autograph of Colonel Chinn himself. I have never been so tempted to steal in my life.

I briefly lived in Colonel Young's house while a student at Wilberforce University in the 1960s. I recall a second building, a small barn structure. I was told it was used to house formerly enslaved people traveling to Canada and was considered a stop on the Underground Railroad. I'm so thankful for the Young family.

The first time I noticed that there were zinc tombstones was at Mount Holly in Little Rock when we had snow one the ground. The rest of the tombstones were so dark against the snow and the zinc ones took on a pale periwinkle color. Then I noticed how sharp the relief images were and had to do some research! They are still in good shape, as far as I know. There is one here in Jonesboro, Arkansas that must have been hit by a falling limb and it caused a bend in a corner junction, which is now rusting a bit. Overall, still in better shape than many of the stone headstones though.

The book is excellently written by a scholar who takes a largely misrepresented position and systematically (and cogently) dismantles the argument succinctly.

1. Correct name is the Medal of Honor. Congress has nothing to do with it. Proof: If Congress had anything to do with awarding it, every Congressman would have one. 2. One is awarded or has received the Medal of Honor. One does not "win" it. It is not an Oscar or some sports trophy.
@bigbossimmotal6 ай бұрын
There is this new thing called Google, if you Google 'Congressional Medal of Honor', even a child could read all about the "Congressional Medal of Honor Society" or the "Congressional Medal of Honor recipients", or even the Congressional Medal of Honor stories in the Library of Congress. Trolls are so predictable. Do some research.
