Anyway, someone on Instagram also asked me the same question, and like I told them, I was really happy for Jin (and a little sad for Jungkook, hahaha). Honestly, I do feel bad for Jungkook. It seems like Jin was getting his revenge after Jungkook's interactions with all the girls in his MVs. It just happens that Jin was enjoying the chance. And take note of how red his ears got when Wendy told him she’d come to him first. The way he rapped his words when he answered, “By any chance, will they do it again?” Overall, the interaction was so cute because Jin looked so happy having Wendy as his duet partner/guest. But above all, the distance says it all. The staff knows, Wendy knows, and Seokjin knows that it's necessary.

​@@miejinjeongguk Jin has been a fan of Wendy/Red Velvet for years, maybe it's a bit like Jungkook and IU... so i was very happy for him and for this collab to happen, they're both extremely talented and HOTW is fantastic, really... I always joke that no jinkooker needs to be upset about some of Jk's attitudes, because Jin will find a way to hit back, sooner or later... I think they balance the relationship that way... 😅 Regarding Wendy saying she'd reach out to Jin first, since i've read some comments suggesting that she was flirting with Jin at that moment, i was curious about other jinkookers' opinions on this... And yes, i laughed a lot when i saw how Jin's ears turned super red and how totally disconcerted he was by Wendy's reply. I thought it was cute, Jin is ridiculously shy... although i know this will become ship material, it already has, and i also feel for Jk... Jin reportedly gave an interview after the concert and, when talking about his HOTW performance, he admitted that the song had a special meaning for him. Then, when asked by the interviewer if anyone had inspired him during the performance, Jin replied that "Sometimes music is the best way to express what words cannot". After this revelation some people are speculating that Jin was trying to implicitly refer to someone, and of course Wendy is already being pointed out as the likely person Jin was referring to. Well, i didn't see that interview, so idk if Jin really said that, but if he did, you can already see a silly smile on my face... because i obviously think that Jin wasn't talking about Wendy with that confession, but someone else... (🐰) Like you said, the distance between them on stage says it all. As a jinkooker, i think it was out of respect for Jk, and out of professionalism and respect for Wendy, who also has a career in this same industry (cause we all know how it works, how the fans react to any interactions between a female idol and a male idol). But the truth is that Jin exaggerated a bit... all the other BTS members have sung with female singers in close proximity or some physical contact... (Tae even married IU in Love Wins All...). Look at Jin's mvs... no girls, no romantic scenes... That's why i think Jin's shyness, but especially Jungkook's jealousy, were the main reasons for Jin and Wendy standing so far away from each other...
