Some great play all around. Mic/Pet were just super consistent in the first set. Had a little second set lull (happens to all of us, haha) and Ale/Mic picked up their game. And the breaker could have gone either way! Only thing I saw that was wrong was the final score. Mix and Pet took the first set! Cheers

This is about the highest level 4.0 I’ve seen! I’m a 4.0 in the Boston area. Our team went to sectionals last year for men’s 4.0 18+ but unfortunately we had limited players and just couldn’t grind out the 3 days. Obviously the video doesn’t show every point, but this is damn good tennis! I feel like the usta ratings are whacked. We have a few guys on our local team that are rated 4.5 and on your level and when they appealed, it was denied. I get it that it’s all about who is rated what when you play them and how you do. But there seems to be a real issue with ratings and how it works. I like the content and it appears I need to get practicing if this is the level of competition we’ll face (hopefully) at the Nationals!

Gregg and Taka that was some nice play! Aggressive when needed, consistent and patient enough to wait for a good ball to put away. I think these guys we’re definitely outmatched from the get go, but you guys stayed engaged and determined to keep the pressure. I don’t know how many first serves you guys were making/not making. But I think one main area I’d put a premium on is first serve percentage and placement (1st and 2nd). Middle of the box serves (especially if it’s predicatable) can take away your advantage of serving. I’m also a 4.0 dubs guy in the Boston area and we ALL definitely have room to improve our skills. You guys match up well. Love that Forehand Taka, Gregg has got some great hands and as much as he was good off both wings I’d not be serving to that backhand (or your forehand) Haha Have you ever read “Don’t Waste Your Sports” by CJ Mahaney? Awesome little book. If you (either of you guys) ever visit the Boston Area hit me up!! I’ll get some guys together for some dubs and we can praise God together! Ps I’ve never video taped myself, but my dad did show me a few points from a usta sectionals match a few years ago and…yeah that’s why I don’t tape my game!! Hahaha Be blessed fellas!
