@@andybarry5315 that's higher than my average buddy. If money is an issue there is the option to get the flex. I have reviewed that system as well. It's cheaper to buy initially but comes with a monthly subscription. It's basically the cost of 2 coffees a month. Or save up for a little longer and get this for a higher initial cost and no subscription.

@liondarts i think when I buy it, I'll buy it outright. If I play darts for 10 years on a flexy option, I'll be kicking myself. I think you are spot on about going with a company with a proven track record. I know Target Omni hits the market soon, and also Autodarts have a system. However, I've come to realise in life, sometimes you pay twice going for the cheaper option 😄 That said, Autodarts system at their price point is amazing. However I've set my heart on the Scolia.

@@andybarry5315 I agree the price point is amazing but it is also just the legs you pay for you need an existing light ring and it's again the plasma. So that's another £70. Plus the community will be minimal in comparison i.e when I was covering the soft tip world we had a channel that used to use the target Nexus. The lobbies we almost empty all the time. Moved across to the granboard ( a well established board with large servers) never went without a game. It's in my opinion better to go with something that is proven to work and has been proven by thousands of people before you.... Than try something new and be let down

@@jamessefton7369 yes you do in my opinion as it gives stability to the light ring and offers a level base for the cameras to calibrate on. If I'm honest I don't think it will function properly without one

Ropey 😂. Yeah you don't get a great set as standard. Target can be an expensive brand to adopt but their 80% stuff is really reasonable

You need to get a vonets wireless connector. Personally I would use the Ethernet connection

Yes mate the flex gives you 1000 darts a month for free then it's £10 a month if you want to throw more. The home is unlimited

@@jstones9872 I'll be honest with you if you play soft tip go with a Granboard. In the states your community will be a lot bigger as the Scolia hasn't really peaked in the states yet. Whereas there is a huge community for the Granboard and great streaming platforms check out bullseyes and brewskis on Facebook

Unfortunately these are the kind of things we can't cover with a review without taking a hammer to the board. If you speak to the retailer where you purchased the board they should replace it as that seems like a QC issue

No generally this isn't a board that's set up to play medleys it's kind of a one and done. If I'm honest if you're looking to get into soft tip properly I'd look into getting a Granboard you can pick up the dash for a reasonable price or go all in on the 3s :-)

Yes mate if you contact St Helens Dart shop they even make what's called a switch up set up which is a back board that takes a granboard and a steel tip board. You can also buy a granstand specifically for a granboard

It can do the only thing I would suggest is to just tighten to a pinch don't over tighten the point into the grip as it will mark the point. Less is more get it to a place where there is no movement and stop :-)

Can you put swiss points in any darts?

@@wildboy8346 no mate swiss points are exclusively for target darts and if I'm honest I'm not a huge fan lol

The main reason for that is because the tip has to go into an aperture in soft tip so it will adjust itself to a straight angle automatically. In a bristle board it will stay flight high as the angle of entry isn't adjusted by the board itself

This will never happen with Granboard I'm afraid ... I'd prefer a decent platform than flashing lights ;-) I'd go Granboard all day

Look into getting a Granboard 132 it's the same as a regulation steel tip board ;-)

Generally a 20g dart is usable on all soft tip boards. The reason for the limitations is to help prolong the life of the matrix and your board in general :-)

@@liondarts Thank you very much, is there any board for lets say up to 150€ which you would/could recommend? I am living in Czech Republic atm and the Viper or Arachnid boards are pretty expensive to import it seems. I was looking at some Bull's (delta IV??) no idea if it is any good....

My recommendation is to purchase an android box a webcam and a wireless mouse hook all of these up and you can use it on whatever TV you want. If you message Granboard via their website they will reccomend the best box for the country you live in.

In all honesty they can be quite loud what people have found is that foam behind the board helps :-)

My advice would be to use a T9 box and go through your TV that way you can have an audio output of your choice

100% like I said in the review the demo will be the only time I would use them on my homeboard ... Commercial boards can handle the heavier barrels but I wouldn't risk it on a granboard
