the story of this sitcom goes like this Cbs approached Elvira with the offer of her own weekly sitcom!! she said sure lets try it out!! so they filmed this pilot to test out if anybody would want to watch a full series?? but Cbs looked at the pilot and were like uhm yea no this is awful forget it!! and the whole idea was killed with just this single episode showing viewers what an Elvira would have looked like if they made it into a full show!!

There are a lot of films in the history of cinema that just miss the hit status and later on become cult classics . Many got scorned by the critics and the public ignored them but they got a second life because they were good films . Neighbors , Waterworld , At Long Last Love , and Shock Treatment are such films . Now as I have stated on other threads . I don’t consider Rocky Horror a cult classic . Even though it made its way through the Midnight Movie circuit back then , it actually was a mainstream hit. It was a classic not a cult classic. Shock Treatment is the cult classic
