What clover seed would you recommend for sandier soils? Should I add Winter rye to that plot in early fall also to help with building the soil?

What month was this planted? If I were to plant this would I want to plant in the spring? Would I want to use a cover crop? I am in far north Wisconsin

If you didn't have the drought you are in, the rye would have ample tonnage. I've been growing winter rye for years in the Midwest for fall food plots. Plant in September and it you'll have plenty of tonnage for fall attraction with any average rainfall. What you are demonstrating is how those crops are handling the drought, which is still beneficial.

Awesome, can you broadcast alfalfa into a fall brassicas plot? Or should that wait until spring?

Beans look great. Any idea at what stage of the rye did he plant the beans? I imagine it was sometime before it went to head so the rye wouldn’t get crimped over at planting. Thanks for sharing.

Very good comment about the name “Annual Clover” not meaning it only grows for one season. I always thought that very thing based on the name, as you cleared up that distinction. Thanks
