i disagree, the expansions made the game more complete. this was like 3/4 fluff and 1/4 an opinion i disagree with, all with too much gain on the mic

Interesting to hear someone else’s take on the story of GW2 and how they pronounce the names. I think your way of saying Asura and Trahearne’s name are very different than how the voice actors in the game say them. Looking forward to the next video that completes the story.

Anyway, I've never played GW 1 or 2, but they always seemed like very interesting games. So, are there any news of GW3 coming out at some point? Maybe then I'll finallly jump aboard...

I disagree with this assessement. I can understand why the wizards vault looks like a battlepass because sure technically it is of sorts. With quality of life improvements such as get the best reward first if thats what you want but true it is fundamentally a battle pass system. However the Wizards vault is not all the expansions provide. No Battlepass includes a housing system. None Includes new zones, new skills, new quests etc... Are the new expansions the same scope of old expansions. No, of course not but thats why Anet refers to them as mini expansions. And its not just a question of naming. the Big expanions took years to make. Not only did they take years to make but in case of heart of thorns there was a huge content draught after release as in all likehood HoT was all hands on deck and any subsequent content had to start from scratch. Than you need to factor in layoffs which more then likely reduced the team size working on Gw2. Not to mention potentially some of the team might have been moved to work on the new project. Smaller team, which only has one half to one third the time to work on an expansion as previous expansions team had cannot realistically be expected to put out content with same scope and size. It more fair to compare 2 mini expansions with the old expansions. Its fair to say scope has been reduced because it clearly has even comparing 2 mini expansions with 1 old expansion but I dont feel its fair to say all Anet is doing now is issueing yearly battle passes. Clearly they're still doing a lot more than that.

I treated all “expansions” after EoD like I treated Seasons （2，3，4 especially）...GW3 and other projects takes team assets, which means fewer hands on GW2. Hence less rich Seasons /not Expansions/

Being a SEA player, the ping is quite high even if I have considerably fast internet. That didn't stop me from enjoying the game though, it's fun and packed with a lot of player interactions.

As I casual player I have no idea what you're talking about. The game is fun. Hope that they do the things you said you'd like though.

GW2 is one of those games that is so good you'll want to spend money on pure cosmetics.

it doesn't suck for a free PVE game, even 1 time purchase game. still essentially free in the long run, what's $100-some-odd bucks? All it will ever be is PVE game, so in that context it's a good 1.

I played it when it was new up until a bit after that crazy sylvari attacked lion's arch. Then i had a break. Then i came back at the first expansion. Then i didnt play again. And now im back and love it. That's the beauty ive found in gw2. Ive had 2 breaks with years apart and my previous achievements dont feel meaningless.

As a veteran player who has never really stopped playing but decreased playtime, it is still one of my most favorite MMOs. Not having to grind my gear over and over again, not having a population split between multiple servers (except EU/NA), varied optional endgame... it's just nice. I never much played WvW and didn't much have too, but when i get the itch of large scale battles, i can just join in and explore a whole other facet of the game. If i want experience instanced fun with friends i can just do raids and strikes or fractals, without having to keep up with the current item level or something. I would be able to just stay away for a while and all i need to adjust when i come back would be my build based on balance changes. And with legendary gear even that is not an issue. Good Video. Not dead, not even close, but definitely in its "twilight years" for sure. The amount of content being released is slowing down a bit, but the playerbase is still there. Still a great MMO to play casually, but for more hardcore progression type, there are far better games out there.

Its just gets really draining after a while.

The only dead part of GW2 is the people who nevered of helping pre events

2:13 Forgive me if I'm wrong but I've just gotten to the end of the base game and the story requires you to run a multiplayer dungeon. So it does slightly require you to engage in non solo content.

While Guild Wars 2 has a dedicated player base and many enjoy its gameplay, it may not appeal to everyone. Personally, I find watching others play the game more enjoyable than playing it myself. After stepping back from online gaming altogether, I've redirected my time to different pursuits, such as reading, spending time with my children, enjoying solo gaming experiences, watching movies, and cherishing moments with my wife. Silhouette casually dodging Samarog shockwaves with [Flicker Step] "Nono really, but I'm just here to cosplay." - I love it. ❤️ Real talk tho: Biggest problem with PvX Warrior is ANet has 0 idea what they want it to do in any game mode, or how they want it to do it. And with the design goals of the game changing approx ~every 8 seconds (i.e. "No CCs can't also do damage anymore in competitive, Now we need every class to technically be able to provide quickness/alacrity for reasons, No wait! NOW We're gonna give every elite spec weapon to every core class. Isn't that great guys??") Warrior has been easily, *easily,* the most shafted by these milestones, without ever being compensated at all, while all of the other classes shot ahead by leaps & bounds. These were all good, objectively healthy-ish (except for the shared weapon thing,) changes for the game overall. But they all left one, very brown class alone, crying by itself in the dirt. Warrior will forever be the trashcan that I love, but my word it sucks right now. 😂

I liken GW2 to a fit 50 year old who runs the occasional marathon: no one is going to mistake GW2 for a new game but it competes pretty well against everything else out there. I'd say that the game is not for everyone but I'd recommend giving it a go.
