1:07 Is your lens broken? Because I have be using this lens for years now and it is NOT a manual lens. In fast the auto focus works prettying well. Also would not really use this lens for hand held vlogging. At 18mm on the wide end it's still rather tight even at full arms length. You want something wide enough to hold at a comfortable distance and give you enough head room. With no stabilization in the lens you will want active steady shot on if not using a gimbal and of course that crops in your view even tighter as mentioned. I recommend getting something that's at least 16mm or wider. There are a couple that cover this range depending on your needs and budget. Like the Sigma 10-18mm f2.8 or the Sony 10-20mm f4

Hello, is there a way to transfer all photos/videos, and still be able to access/view and re transfer certain photos or videos back onto the phone? Which is the best way to do this?

There is a way to power the phone while using the iXpand drive method. While the iXpand drive is plugged into the phone’s Lightning port, simply plug the female end of a standard USB extension cable onto the iXpand drive’s open male port, and then plug the other end of the extension cable into any standard USB power source (power adapter, battery bank, etc). I’ve also used this method with my iPad to watch many long movies stored on my iXpand drive on long international flights by plugging the USB extension cable into the plane’s USB charging port or an AC adapter at my seat.

Also, I would add to the point of sightseeing while in Anaheim for vidcon, disneyland is RIGHT next to the convention center, only a block's walk away, so if you can extend a day to your hotel to visit, you can! (disneyland tickets are crazy expensive, but that's another story entirely 😅) I was born and raised in San Diego, and my dad worked for Disneyland when I was younger, so I had gone a lot back then. It's very different now (I STILL can't wrap my head around disney owning star wars AND marvel 😵‍💫) but if you've never been and can afford it, it's worth checking out. In earlier vidcon years, they even called it "disney day," and sometimes had discounts through the vidcon website for disney tickets. they don't really do that anymore and you're unlikely to run into any large creators there (they all go in private parties at midnight during one of the con days instead 😏) but you can find other entry-level con goers to talk to, it's pretty fun!

I go to Vidcon every year and I'm so obsessed with it that I frequently search for videos and posts about it in the months between cons, just to see/hear others talk about it XD It doesn't have a lot to offer small to mid-level creators like me BUILT INTO THE CON (it did in the early years, but for the past decade at least it's been primarily about the mega-famous and their adoring fans). But it's still so exciting to be around other people who make or at least watch online content--it's surprisingly hard to find that in my local area, especially as a millenial or older. I always make a point of striking up conversations with random people there, and generally have a good time. Of course it wasn't always that way--I used to be very sulky and jealous that I wasn't "famous" yet, and resentful that the con offered nothing substantial for others like me. But I've matured past that and reached the realization that "vidcon is what you make of it," and as long as you have the willingness to be friendly and engaging, you can make your own fun. Great video! (If I can offer one tip that you're free to disregard, it was pretty hard to hear you over the sounds of the car engine 😅perhaps you could get a lavalier mic, or film future videos while parked? Like I said feel free to disregard my advice, just wanted to offer it as something to possibly consider improving!)

Good video. The issue with this cage is, you cannot remove the battery or the memory card, without removing the cage and then reattaching the cage - major pain. I have tried several cages, the one I found useful is "MotuTech Multi-Function Frame Insta360 X3 One X3 Metal Cage Camera Cage + Lens Cap Vlogging Protective Case Mount 1/4 Inch Universal 2 Cold Shoe" - it allows to remove the battery and the memory card even with the cage on + it allows for all the accessories to be attached with the cage on.

You showed us how to get our iPhone photos into the flag drives but how do we upload those to our laptop? What will appear on the laptop screen? Is it the same as a regular flash drive? My iphone12 mini’s storage is full and I’d like to transfer my photos to a laptop and then transfer those to an Mdisc for permanent storage. Thanks for this video. Im curious. My iphone is set to store only low rez images on the phone. The high rez images are in the cloud because I dont have enough space on my iphone. When I transfer the images is there a way to get the high rez copies on the drive or is it just going to transfer the low rez copies? Also what format are the transferred images in? I am trying to avoid a format that binds me to the apple library. I would rather have pure JPEG, Raw, HEIC images etc
