Good job talking to that tall dark haired son with the spastic mom. Her manner of communication makes ME feel anxious. Lol. You gave him excellent advice, and if he listened, and tries to tailor his reactions to his mom as you described, I'd bet they will have a much better relationship going forward. Mom needs some serious help with her own communication, and I hope she HEARD what you were saying, and makes some changes in her behavior toward her son as well.

I really hope the girl from the first episode is doing well. She was kind of an asshole, but so were her family - doesn't mean there's nothing worth fighting for. I'm sure she did do horrible things but her family do appear a little sanctimonious so after being judged a handful of times, I'm not shocked a neurodivertgent teen would just give up and rebel. Also, the dad's take on bisexuality is awful. As a bisexual woman it was hard enough accepting myself in my teens and my parents supported me.
