Racing hear in a couple weeks time doing a 10min practice,10min Quali, and 20 lap race so hopefully this helps during qualifying

Thanks for the video, very helpful. Tried to replicate your moves but I still couldn't go flat into T1 without loosing a bit of rear end. Managed a 28:505!

Nice! Yeah getting turn 1 flat really depends on if you’ve got the right track conditions! Otherwise a little lift and keeping it rotated is better than trying to go flat and losing the rear

People will say its excuses but there is something up with these new karts. There are 3 or 4 that are so far off the pace. At pfi me and my teammate were both 2 seconds off the pace in the afternoon enduro than we were in the morning sprints, and the team that used the kart after us also came stone dead last. Told the mechanics and they just said in future to take the kart to the mechanics after the race

Yeah they’re definitely more dodgy. I took mine to scrutineering after the race cos I could tell it was rubbish, would’ve been nice if the guy racing before me had done that but there we go

Exactly what you just said is why it keeps happening in BUKC, no one pulls the karts off to the mechanics bay, they just put it in line for the next driver... this happens way less in club100 senior rounds, and therefore getting a kart below par is less common

1:11:51 sorry for that mate, much more aggressive than I intended it to be. I was really pushing at the end of my stint to try and make some ground on 1st after a bad full course yellow and I put a pretty harsh move on you, my bad 😅

what camera mount do you use to fit the club 100 karts? my normal go pro mount as too much play and ends up looking like there's an earthquake

I actually just use the one it came with, but I’m very lucky to have a GoPro hero 11 which has great built-in stabilisation so it manages to make the video clear despite all the shaking

Thanks for the videos George, I've been there a couple of times but have been frustrated with my inability to do a fast time. From studying you I'm learning how to tackle the bends which is where I'm losing all my time - I break too hard and too late and generally seem to do scruffy laps. Are you keeping it pinned on the first long right bend, it sounds like you lift slightly on entry and then reapply the throttle?

No worries, thanks for the comment! Yeah it’s surprisingly hard to nail laps round here, often just keeping it smooth is quicker than heavy braking etc. And yeah the first corner is definitely one you can do flat if you get the turn-in angle correct, but I often do lift off just to keep in control. Also worth noting the track was a bit damp in turn 1 so I was lifting a bit more than usual. Hope this helps :)
