The TV series was vastly vastly superior. Brought to a absolute creative height after the the departure of Larry Levine.

Gary Burghoff was the only cast member here who went on to the CBS version, minus the last four seasons of the show(1979-83).

I Thought this movie was okay. But the intro is timeless. The series is really way better than this film.

Kurt Russell I'm not trying to say that he was putting wrestling down but he was putting wrestling down. He is not that good of an actor.

What I always loved about the novel, the movie and the series is that they goofed off, made pranks and drank hard, but when those wounded men came in they got down to business, and they didn’t mess around.

Gary Burghoff reprised the role of Radar O'Reilly on M*A*S*H for 7 of the show's 11 seasons and left by the 5th episode of the 8th season. G. Wood, who appeared in this movie, appeared in the pilot episode of M*A*S*H.
