Found this version a few minutes after the other one. Love the echo/reverb on this version.

Maps is a firm favourite of mine too! I think there are a couple more videos on my channel. it's an open plan pub so pockets of people here not for the music are very audible unfortunately.

Hi there.....love your video. Can I ask a quick question? I think I have the same (or similar) Pye Projection record player and was motivated to get it out after watching your video. It is great fun and sounds better than I remember but I can't work out how to get the tone arm to move to the correct position to play a 7'' single, whatever speed I select (33 or 45) or record size I stack the tone arm always moves in position to play a 12"" LP. I want to load 4 or 5 x 7'' singles and then let the record player play them one after the other. Do you know if the player should recognise the record size itself or do I need to make an adjustment? I have the original manual and it says records of various sizes can be stacked which suggests the player should recognised the record size. There's a good chance I'm doing something really dumb as I've not used the player for at least 5 years! Appreciate any help or advice you can give. Thank you - Sean

Sean, apologies for the non response. Thank you for the comment it's greatly appreciated. I need to still look at cleaning up the electronics inside and the control knobs etc, though for the most part it works well enough to enjoy my records, even if i have to put a little pressure toward the 45 side of the dial as it runs slowly, I need a new wheel that makes contact with the spindle. Though getting to your question. I believe when you want to play a record, regardless of size, it should be placed at the top of the middle support, then the steady arm placed as a brace, then turn the player on. This starts the process of moving the little white (on my player) curved arm upward to interact with a 12" LP if it's there. If it's present then it plays the record from the outer of the 12", if it doesn't hit the record then the needle will drop on the 7" portion and play from there. I'll make a note to try this out and make a follow up video, with first playing a 12, then queuing up a 7" afterwards. then again with a 12" Hopefully that makes sense.

Great machine.iv3 just bought one with only 1 side working,and badly at that.but it's near mint.yours sounds like it's running ever so slightly slow.
@tallikafan3 жыл бұрын
It truly is, it'd be lovely restored too. it is ever so slightly slow you are correct. for most music it's generally acceptable, though with a lot of speech it is noticeable. unsure whether i'd be able to find a replacement drive wheel though
