Why does your exact-path control-module look like that with all that white around it?

How do you switch from broadcast back to exact path

You push the upper right button which I believe is the power and the turtle and hold it down it will start as green and turn to Red in the LEDs

Will either machine scrape snow off driveways that has been compacted by vehicles?

Nice video Need more like this. How did you bend the plastic for wind block?
@glengee2623
@glengee2623 2 жыл бұрын
To bend it just clamp it to a table and heat up your bend area with a heat gun and slowly bend it to where you need it.

What's your opinion of this compared to the Ventrac? I want one of these machines for our snow removal fleet but don't know which one to go with. My biggest draw to the Ventrac is the broom attachment and the faster speed but not sure it's worth the higher price tag.

Imo the faster speed is worth it. The boss feels so slow after getting off the ventrac. Also the plow control on the ventrac is on the right, whereas the boss is on the left side. So if your right handed the ventrac is way easier to run. The salt spreader controller for the ventrac is easier to access too while you're driving which is super important. I flip that switch probably 80 times in a night when i go around 90 degree corners. As far as the broom goes, i never use it for the places i do with it because it's so much longer and heavier than the plow. If you have big long commercial warehouses or shopping centers it would work awesome but not in tight places

@@FostaFunk the labor and salt savings alone are worth it. I've put 50 hrs on the ventrac between last winter and this winter. So if it does the work of 3 people in the same amount of time, that's essentially 100 man hrs of time saved in 2 years. At 25-35$ an hour, thats 2500-3500$ saved in just labor in 2 winters. I also use about 8-10 bags less of calcium each snow because of it's efficiency so it adds up. They're definitely worth it, but you need a decent operator as they can be a little tricky to get efficient. I hate shovels now lol

Wow.... that thing is dropping WAY too much material. The idea of a drop spreader is to reduce material by placing it in the proper place and well regulated. After watching all the videos on the snowrator and the issues people have reported, glad i saved my money.

I believe in the video i had the spreader turned up all the way so yes it was dropping a lot. But you can regulate how much it uses with the controller for it. We've had no issues out of them. They are slow compared to the ventrac but i guarantee it'll outwork 3 guys with a shovel

I really like that windshield you made. How does it hold up in storms? And how exactly did you make it? I have two snowrators I would love to get windshields on. thanks

It's made of polycarbonate i think from lowes. It was the thickest stuff they had. With it being bent and bolted around the corners it doesn't move a bit. To bend it just clamp it to a table and heat up your bend area and slowly work it to where you need it. I'll be making some for our snowrators soon before the snow hits

Thanks for the comparison. Would love to see a video after you have them both fully outfitted and in the field. Salt spreaders on the Ventrac looks hard to access?

They are kind of a pain to load. Have to pour half the bag in, push it to the other side then add the other half. We will probably make a chute on both sides to load easier. I'll make a video of the ventrac during the next snow since it's on my crew. The snowrators go on other crews

This thing works awesome! I really doubted the spreader but that's the best part. No more pushing at a spreader or carrying a bucket. I have no complaints with it other than it's kinda tough to fill the spreader. I totally forgot to make a video of it working but lets just say our biggest site used to take ~4-6 hours to clear with 3 people with shovels and 2 of us did it in 3.5
