A pleasure to watch and thanks for sharing. We use similar instruments over here in Wales.

I found your channel around a week ago, trying to catch up with all of your videos. There is nothing like watching a craftsman at work. Great job.

How would you go about the opposite procedure? Like, narrowing the diameter of the slide if it were too large?

Excelent job!! It's só nice tô watch a super pro artist working!! I got my trumpet when I was 10, after the graduation in the music school, it fell down and one " piston " got stucked like in the vídeo. I never ever played again, this happened at 48 years... Around 14 years ago I went tô buy a new one, tried a lot to play anything in the store, result I do not know how to play anymore... If you play, NEVER stop otherwise you lose like I did.

These videos are enjoyable, but I’m convinced these instruments are purposely damaged to make content.

So much time and dedication. I wonder what you charge for such a work. Does it really worth the cost of the original instrument?

Amazing!!! I'm an ex-architectural copper contractor (copper & zinc range hoods, etc) and now a guitar maker, and have always wondered how in the world one could possibly restore brass instruments. Thanks for the great video and insight!

It's amazing that you can fix a bent flower part😯 How to repair brass: This is how we make uneven parts even It's supposed to be hard, but it's soft and looks like tanned leather, which is a strange feeling.

I am a little surprised that the starting point was not using a small amount of heat to make reshaping that bell easier.

The first thing you need to do is get a work table that doesn't MOVE every time you push on the instrument , that would make a huge difference when trying to shape bent brass parts, your just not professional enough without a solid perfectly immobile base , dude improve yourself.

Every time I see a horn bell bent like this I hear the sound of a thousand soda cans being crushed over and over.
