Update - Cabinet has approved Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0 to provide financial assistance for affordable housing to 1 crore urban poor and middle-class families over the next 5 years i.e. FY25 to FY29, with an investment of Rs 10 lakh crore and a government allocation of Rs 2.30 lakh crore Credit Risk Guarantee Fund Trust (CRGFT) corpus has been tripled to Rs 3,000 crore, supporting affordable housing loans for EWS and LIG families. • Management of the fund will shift from the National Housing Bank (NHB) to the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGTC). To date, 1.18 crore houses have been sanctioned, with over 85.5 lakh already delivered to beneficiaries.

Update - Union Cabinet has approved the modification of the Pradhan Mantri JI-VAN Yojana, extending its implementation timeline by 5 years, till 2028-29. • The scheme is also called as PM G-VAN/PM G-One (Biofuel-Vataravana Anuchaan Fasal Residue Nivaran) Yojana. • The revised scheme expands its scope to include advanced biofuels from various lignocellulosic feedstocks like agricultural residues, forestry waste, industrial waste, syn gas, algae, and more and supports new technologies in the biofuel sector Bolt on’ plants and ‘Brownfield projects’ are now eligible under the scheme to enhance viability and leverage experience. Preference will be given to projects utilizing new technologies and innovative approaches.

Update - • An MoU has been signed between CSC-SPV and Ministry of Agriculture & Farmer's Welfare to convert FPOs registered under ‘Formation & Promotion of 10,000 FPOs scheme’ into Common Services Centres (CSCs) and help them to deliver citizen-centric services. • These newly converted CSCs will offer services available on the Digital Seva Portal. Additionally, CSC SPV will undertake the training and capacity building of these FPOs. • The delivery of CSC services through FPOs will increase employment opportunities in rural areas Implementing Agencies - SFAC ( if registered under Company law) NCDC ( if registered under cooperative act ) NABARD Eligibility- -Minimum 50% shareholders should be small, marginal and landless tenant - Max shareholding by one member shall not be more than 10% of FPO equity - Minimum 1 woman member in the Board of Director To strengthen PACS - GoI has allocated a target of formation of 1100 new FPOs to NCDC through members of PACS
