You never want an installer who does not wear shoes! Watching them strip the wires is painful, that little string is included for a reason! I would have slid the cabinet all the way to the left and had the wires coming up from the bottom, out of sight. AND NO IMPACT TOOL... Aweful!

A nice neat installation. I have been in more than one commercial building where the installing contractor had not heard of neatness and the network cabinets were a rats nest of wires. I dont understand how the customer can let the contractors get away with such sloppy work. One I troubleshooted was so bad I had to turn their network off and pull all the cables out & reland everything in a neat and orderly manner as I could not find their problem in the rats nest. This made the co mad as I came in after hours & had to charge them OT. I dont blame them, they should not of had to shoulder this expense. I did recommend as I got my paperwork signed that they pass my bill along to the installing contractor for reimbursement. !

I hate those type of punch down panels. If you have to change/repair a circuit, the thin IDF taps will probably not be reusable so that position is unusable. Instead, use Keystone jacks and panels. Makes the initial install easier because you can do every circuit individually then snap it into the panel. No fighting with the panel and inevitably having one cable too short.

Totally non sense. All position on top of rack are connected to a switch in middle of rack, position of top of rack connected to another in top and so one. Why buy cable management stuff with holes on it if you let all the cables on front ? Normally, you put position not far from where you are going to plug them. Raw of CCTV positions near to hikvision switch, etc... And you put management cable panel between them to manage your cables. The only cables that going to bottom of rack must be the interconnections between equipments or special need between U I think you just want to do cable porn in front with full length...

I can clearly see that they've tried this a few times. Enough times to find out that it's easy to straighen the wires out with a plastic surface and put them in a plug. They haven't done it enough times to realise that it can be done in a litteral second with a simple tug with your fingers, no tool required. 😇
