WOW this is such a gift. To hear Paul do this less than a year after losing her and trying to keep it light and knowing how deeply he is still hurting....pulls at my heart. I was as much of a fan of Linda's entire essence as I am of Paul. Their relationship has always fascinated me. Thank you so much for this.

Thanks for the upload; I looked for this some years ago and I couldn’t find it. And then I read something recently and it came back into my mind again, and so I was glad that I found BtB here. On the Dick Cavett show in 1975, John Lennon had said that he had worried for Ringo when The Beatles initially broke up because he feared that it would have a negative impact on his career. But because of Ringo’s charm he turned things around to his advantage; so much so that Lennon said that in retrospect he was having a better solo career than he was having at the time! Ringo got into photography during his downtime with The Beatles because he often wasn’t needed in the studios; he also later learnt production techniques, as well as doing the odd acting role and doing some voice over work for documentaries, and later children’s shows. It’s great that he got on with Mark and he could pass on his experience to him, just as John did a little while after this film when he struck up a friendship with David Bowie when he met him in New York.

I only just discovered this video - thanks for putting together such a great compilation of this soundcheck!! That's me and my little boy McCartney who was invited on stage by Paul. The greatest experience of our lives! We are just so grateful!! 😊🐞❤

Glad you enjoyed, you experienced my biggest dream haha! I’d seen your little McCartney on TV not long before this in a report on BeatleFest Seven Valleys, then suddenly I was seeing him everywhere LOL

@@thebeatlesvideos2 I still can't believe it happened! We were so thrilled to be asked to be part of the Beatlesfest promotion then the Newcastle Herald contacted us before the show and McCartney ended up on the front page that day. Never in my wildest dreams would I thought it would lead to meeting and dancing with Paul on stage! McCartney was so starstruck, it was very cute and Paul was amazing with him too. We talk about it almost everyday. Amazing memories to cherish forever! 🐞❤️

Just letting you know I think there's a higher quality source for the Linda shot in the "Wingspan" documentary if you want it. Love this archive btw 👍

Thanks for your comment, I am aware of the source in wingspan however I opted for the copy you see in the video as it is not cropped to 16:9

I think if there were two pieces from McCartney's history I would remove if all powerful it would be that footage of Gotta Sings Gotta Dance and The Mary Had a Little Lamb video (version with Lina dressed in Victorian clothing on a child's swing).

Definitely both Pau; and Linda's worst era for hairstyles. The moustache makes Paul look even worse. Maybe the 80's weren't so bad after all?
