You’re right. I forgot how much text the YugiOh cards have. And usually it just says stuff you can’t even understand and make up the rules for the card as you play.

The evee is a beautiful card. Idk if there’s a better card in the set.

They are high right now. Apparently the hits get cheaper 6 months after release. If you’re unlucky, the hit you want may only go up, like that umbreon.

Eevee, which I’m lucky I pulled. And a couple others. It is the easiest way to lose money, but it’s more fun collecting this way. I sell what I don’t like and because there’s a new set every 2/3 months I just buy the one card I didn’t pull that I enjoy. If you get lucky you can get 100% of your money back by selling hits you don’t like and if you’re unlucky you get about 30%-50%.

What’s the pogo set? I did it for 151, but I also am in the process of grading all the cards I like so it won’t be a master in a binder. I don’t think that matters too much though. I’m starting to like this one and am opening enough packs. Hahaha

@@PokeMike769 The pokemon go set which I’m going for a master set but between the reverse holos and the rainbows my small budget for it is making it hard lol but I think grading your favorite chase cards is good and they make for great display pieces which is the only down side to a binder collection is the best cards in a set are always in the binder

@dariangoodness3037 I like grading my favorite cards for display pieces too. I don’t know how you’re able to collect a set that is out of print. Seems so expensive.

@@PokeMike769 oh I agree I was mainly buying the cards when they were on discount at Walmart but it’s been out of print for months so any cards I need left I have to get on tcgplayer or wait til I see them in person at game stores/card show but I don’t get how people are trying to collect older vintage sets this master set already made me not want to try another master set lol but I’m hoping someday I can go for a set of secret wonders

@dariangoodness3037 idk how people do the older sets either. I’ll see how I feel about others going forward. Buying singles helps so much, especially when chasing that one card that you just can’t seem to pull.

PSA slabs look and feel worse, but they have a stronghold at the moment in pokemon grading. Becket is the most expensive and the harshest grader. They also have the most protection for their cards in the case but it doesn’t allow it to look as good. CGC is new to TCG grading, but considered a tougher grader than PSA and easier than Becket, but they also have a Pristine 10 which goes for more than a PSA 10 but less than a becket perfect 10. The cases are better than PSA in terms of how they make the card look and the case feel. CGC is also the cheapest option. You can see there isn’t really a hard and fast rule on who to go with, but to choose base on what matters to you. I prefer the CGC label and case over PSA 100%. It is also cheaper, and the grading is considered “tougher” making me feel like I have a superior card. This makes PSA feel like a horrible buy in comparison to CGC.
