I just now discovered this game and played a few minutes of it unsure what to do. But I really love the space and retro looks of the graphics and I am inclined to continue playing it as I feel I'll enjoy it after getting the hang of it. Nice retrospective!

Star Voyager I never beat though. Hyperspace was so difficult to manage for the me back then (Zero skills then, this is before I even learned how to do a quarter circle in fighting games, I was individually pressing each direction from the manual and taught myself how to do the motion by trial and error) Mostly I remember running into black holes, and to this day I wonder what the point is of having an inescapable stage. Like, you can't get out, next jump is death, so why?

Hey I never beat Double Dragon 1 until after college, first played that thing as a kid. Actually stumbled across a mismarked sticker for "Pinball" that I mistook as a discounted cart, 75 cents instead of 15 bucks. :)

As a little kid - we’re talking like 7 years old - I thought the entire point of this level was to point out that you actually need to use the warp. Well, actually at first I thought I had a broken game. Now, 35 years later, I finally know the truth.

As someone who played this as a kid, and finally beat it at 33 years old, this video speaks to me. This game was way ahead of it's time. It may have flaws, but it's actually a really amazing game that makes you feel like you're luke Skywalker going on an adventure in space.

Yes if Mario/Luigi makes an error then the phase would repeat until choosing the right path and this also would result in waste of time with risk of death of timer reaches zero if Mario/Luigi often makes errors in choosing paths in looping castles.

I was stumped trying to understand this game as a child, 8 years old. I remember calling the Nintendo power lines, which was no help at all, but when the bill came... my mother was pissed and beat my ass. I remember the first couple times I tried playing it, I could find planets and upgrades, but eventually that luck left me. I'd just end up put of fuel and game over while lost. Your summary is about like mine.

My nana used to play this game when i was baby now with more 24 than 23 years old i bought Nintendo switch and im playing this. Yesterday i reached this level and i thought that i was crazy so i decided to go here for try to understand this level.... its still non sense 🙈🙈😂
