I'll never forget the time whilst backpacking in the UK I was kayaking on lake Windermere not far from Ambleside when a formation of fighter jets flew over me at what felt like 50 feet, no idea what they were but they were low enough that if felt the air turbulence after they were already long gone. Needless to say I $hat myself, but it was one of the few times I have experienced genuine awe. I wish I knew what aircraft they were, it was 2003 wondering if anyone knows what they may have been around that time?
