Appreciate your efforts, and it’s a beautiful shawl, but your instructions are a little confusing, and it’s frequently hard to see what you’re doing. Will def try making this shawl. Also, the amount of Yarntopia yarn you said was needed, is way more than the amount you replied in the comments. 5 or 6 skeins of Yarntopia is between 1500 and 1800 yards, over twice what you said was needed in the comments section. Very confusing, especially to beginners.

For anybody struggling with this~ don’t do the magic circle. Do your slipknot, then chain 5 and slip stitch into your first chain to create a circle. Chain 2 and then start your puff stitches into that. This crazy way she started this square, was very hard to watch; very confusing for a beginner. The puff stitch is difficult, even for experienced crocheters, so don’t let the magic circle, here, discourage you. I use the magic circle all the time but I can’t use it for this granny. 🤷♀️

The puff stitches in the round/magic circle are hard because I hold my hand and hook much differently; I’ve actually never seen anybody crochet in a magic circle like this before. It’d be helpful for you to explain how you keep the tension so loose to get those stitches nice and high. And, you go way too fast for that part; and no written pattern to fall back on! 😵💫. I had to combine 3 other videos to make my square work. 😅 That being said, the verbiage you gave was excellent-you really showed where the DC’s go & explained the increases well. And I never thought to throw my stuff in the washer to block-I was told to use squirt bottles and the board. So thank you for that!

Millie, this is the best DYI blocking board I have run across to date. The grid paper is great and takes the guess work out of making it yourself. Thank you for this video. I'm sure I will watch again after I gather all of my supplies for this project.

Sweetie, I just found you, I like your channel. It's confusing to me, that you do both, yarn overs, and yarn unders. However, this old lady is open to new ways and why not, it helps my brain stay alert. I've actually tried that on occasion, but doesn't quite take. Lol. Anyways, since you seem to wanna learn, I recommend you watch Crystal from Bag-O-Day, she's quite knowledgeable, heck, even I've learned from her. That's what's so great about crochet, you never stop learning and that keeps it fresh. Blessings y'all! 🐱🌸

I’m a little confused. So your original used Spinesse which is a #3 DK, using 2 strands together ( which is essentially about equal to a med #4 ) and 7 mm hook, Then you suggest using Yarntopia which is a #2 fine weight - but only 1 strand and still suggest 7 mm hook? That’s quite a difference. Or were you just using one strand for demo? Thanks

@grannyvroomvroom25233 жыл бұрын
Lovely pattern but instructions are very confusing with incorrect term "corner", for what is actually the "center", not a corner.

Hi Millie! I am new to your channel. You actually popped up with that gorgeous triangle shawl/scarf you made. It will definitely be getting on my hook soon. But this tutorial is brilliant. I love the idea of it. I was wondering if there are those "peg" boards with small enough holes that can be used somehow for the same process. I will definitely be giving this a try. My husband always has scrap wood around. Thank you!

I really love this. How much wool do you need? In grams and meters?
@milliebydesign29863 жыл бұрын
I am not sure about grams but you will probably need just about 780 meters of your yarn of choice.

How much wool do you need to make this lovely scarf? Grams and meters?
@justdi33473 жыл бұрын
@@angelaschapiro4268 Hi Angela! I just put the equivalents in my phone. Another comment asked too. She said 780 meters is needed, so I also converted it to yards and it about 854 yards. Hope that helps. It is such a beautiful scarf. I just found her channel.
